Nap of the day with owen mcmahon 2

The less said about Kinetic Impact on Tuesday, the better. We'll have to just shake it off (oh dear).

Another physics-related name to eulogise about to NAP of the Day followers on Wednesday, in the opener at Chepstow.

Sean Levey is at Chepstow for one ride on Wednesday - that's QUANTUM SWIFT for boss Richard Hannon in the opener.

The two-year-old King Of Change filly begins her handicap journey in this 0-65 nursery over six furlongs, and there's every chance of it being a winning one.

She carries topweight courtesy of her opening mark of 65, which is entirely justifiable on what she's achieved to date.

On racecourse debut, she was runner-up to Richard Hughes' useful-looking Thomas Waterman over the minimum trip at Wolverhampton, before a respectable effort in a stronger event at Nottingham when upped to six furlongs.

Her best run yet came at Leicester last time out in May, back down to five, as she finished fourth of 10, behind the likes of Sky Secret (rated 85), Sea Mirage (76) and the well-entered Baldetti.

Horse Racing Odds

Quantum Swift shaped as if she'd relish stepping back up in trip, staying on strongly all the way to the line, getting up for fourth in the final few strides.

That was 60 days ago, so I'm hoping the break has been by design, rather than forced due to a setback, and she's done plenty of maturing both mentally and physically.

That'll help her get the trip on this occasion, and take another step forward which she's done for each run of her career to date. There's every reason to expect as much.

It's a decent race for the grade, so it won't be easy. Jazzy Bay for Eve Johnson Houghton is interesting, as is Richard Hughes' Cavan Lady. They won't be too far away, as the betting suggests.

But otherwise it's a poor race and I like the profile of Quantum Swift, on top of the Levey factor. He's not there for a day out, and all that.
