NAP of the Day: Regal Envoy to lord it at Windsor

We were treated to a weekend of terrific racing entertainment, with the highlight being the Irish Derby at the Curragh, and the fun continues with five meetings across Britain on Monday. Pontefract, Stratford, Ffos Las, Windsor and Kempton host the day's cards and the best of the action comes from Windsor, where their feature race is the Class 2 Fitzdares Sprint Series Handicap over 6f with a decent prize fund of £30k on offer. A competitive field has been assembled and it's an interesting puzzle to solve.
I believe I have found the answer, however, and I am confident enough to label the runner in question as my NAP of the Day. The selection is no stranger to running here at Windsor and his excellent course record definitely bodes well for his chances.

William Knight runs REGAL ENVOY here and the seven-year-old has been in excellent form so far this season, finishing no worse than third in four starts. Two of those starts have resulted in victory and it would be unwise to rule out further success here.
The son of Ardad has three wins and three seconds to his name in just eight starts at Windsor and the most recent of those victories came here over 5f last time out. Scoring by a length and a half on that occasion, the handicapper has responded with a 6lb rise.
Leading jockey Oisin Murphy was on board last time out and he returns to take the ride. A career-best effort will be required now on a mark of 94, but he's in excellent form right now and his impressive course record definitely bodes well for him here.
There is a slight concern with regards to the trip, as most of his best recent efforts have come over 5f. That being said, he is a previous course-and-distance winner, so he obviously does stay 6f and it shouldn't be a problem with that in mind.
In terms of dangers, Invictus Gold returned to form with a much-improved performance to finish second last time out. Bolo Neighs was a winner at Ascot on his penultimate start and it would be no surprise if he produces a better performance than he did at Chester last time.
Jane Chapple-Hyam's El Bodon brings a fair level of form to the table and he was victorious at Kempton off a 1lb lower mark in February. He looks like a much better horse on the all-weather though and the bang in-form Regal Envoy is the one to side with.
