There are four cards to look forward to on Tuesday, with Jumps racing at Taunton and Newcastle before all-weather action at both Southwell and Dundalk.

It is from the Tapeta in Nottinghamshire, from which our NAP of the day is taken, with COGSWORTH tipped to go well for in-form Suffolk handler Chris Dwyer.

NAP of the day: Tuesday 26 March

  • 5:15 Southwell - Cogsworth @ 16/1

It can often pay to be on the front end of the action on Southwell's five-furlong straight course and one that looks capable of going well on Tuesday/tonight is Cogsworth.

This son of Time Test is at his best when allowed to dominate his rivals from the front and an uncontested lead could be on the cards with no other obvious front-runners in the 11-horse line-up.

He shaped like he needed the run over six furlongs on the round course here earlier this month and was too keen in the early stages. However, he has shown plenty of speed in his races and shapes like the drop down in trip will suit.

This contest is unlikely to take much winning with just three other challengers with previous victories lining up and a draw in the centre (7) appears ideal.

Top Brazilian jockey Silvestre De Sousa takes over in the saddle having made an encouraging return to British racing this season and the former dual Champion Jockey is particularly good on front runners.

This will be the first time De Sousa has ridden the horse and he may be able to get the six race maiden off the mark.

The yard has found itself back amongst the winners in recent weeks, most recently with Epic Express who triumphed under De Sousa at  Lingfield on Friday.

The three-year-old is one of three of Dwyer's horses to feature tonight/on Tuesday - Gamblers Kitty runs at 5.45 before Specialist View goes in the 7.45 - and deserves support in this Handicap.

Cogsworth at 16/1
