NAP of the Day: Leave Her To Me the answer at Warwick

There are five meetings taking place across Britain and Ireland on Tuesday, as jumps fares come from Fontwell and Warwick alongside the Flat cards from Beverley, Listowel and Newcastle (AW) on a busy day.
There is racing to cater for all tastes and we've selected our NAP of the day from the National Hunt meeting at Warwick where the mare Leave Her To Me looks ideally placed to record a second hurdles success.
NAP of the Day - Tuesday, September 24
- 16:05 Warwick – Leave Her To Me @ 11/2
The eventmasters.co.uk Mares' Handicap Hurdle is set to be contested by a field of 14 over two-miles-and-three-furlongs at Warwick, where conditions are forecast as 'good to soft'.
The one that appeals is LEAVE HER TO ME for the training alliance of David Killanena & Graeme McPherson.
The mare by Kayf Tara is low-mileage. She ran in three bumpers in 2022/23 for Fergal O'Brien – winning at Stratford on her second start.
She then missed 435 days before her hurdling bow at Bangor-on-Dee (2m3½f, good) in June of this year, an intervening period in which she moved to this yard.
She was easy to back there and, not surprisingly, shaped very much as if in need of the run. It was a different story three weeks later in a 2m soft-ground maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter as Leave Her To Me and Kielan Woods travelled powerfully into contention and overcame a poor jump at the second last to take up the lead.
Moonscape arrived fast and late to challenge after the jumping was done but Leave Her To Me prevailed narrowly to get on the scoresheet.
In her only start since she was third in a Stratford novice hurdle (2m, good) at the start of this month, essentially running well under a penalty as she was beaten by a pair of above-average recruits from the Flat.
On that evidence though, a mark of 100 is going to be within her grasp before long over timber and Woods' partner promises to be suited by this extra distance now on her handicap bow.
She has jumped well in all three outings bar that late mishap at Uttoxeter, an error she recovered well from.
Recent Worcester winner Fashionelle was rewarded there for consistency but has more on under a 7lb penalty now, while Faerie Cutlass was under pressure when coming down at the same venue back at the start of this month. They are dangers, but Leave Her To Me has scope for progress moving into handicaps and is taken to land this low-grade affair.
This is an Extra Place Race so Betfred will be paying 4 Places (1/5 Odds) instead of 3.
