There's lots more racing action in store on a busy Sunday afternoon that will be headlined by the Betfred 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, with the Fillies' Classic due off at 15:35.

There are supporting Flat cards from Salisbury, Hamilton and Sligo across the afternoon, and my Sunday Nap of the Day looks a sprinter with more to give switching to the turf at Salisbury.

Trainer Stuart Kittow has an improving sprinter on his hands in the form of LIOSA as they head for Salisbury on Sunday afternoon.

The Last Lion gelding is 0-6 on turf previously but has really seen the penny drop on the all-weather since he was last spotted at Bath on grass 12 months ago.

Since September, his form figures on synthetic surfaces read 21211, with wins coming at Kempton and Southwell over 6f.

The most recent of those was recorded last month after 169 days off, with Liosa overcoming a slow start and having to negotiate between rivals in the home straight to make his challenge as he eventually came clear to win by more than two lengths with Billy Loughnane on board.

He was defying an 8lb hike from his year-ending win at Southwell in October and did it fairly readily.

He remains in Class 4 company for this return to the turf and can also race from the same mark of 72 off, which he obliged so nearly on the all-weather 19 days ago.

If that improved form transfers to this surface, he should prove difficult to hold with Hector Crouch in the saddle now.

He has a fitness edge over fellow last-time-out scorers Desdemona for Michael Attwater and Joy Choi for Malcolm Saunders, and should put that to good use by gaining his first turf success.
