Nap of the Day: Two For Gold to land Ascot pot

There are four meetings across Britain and Ireland on Sunday and lots of quality fare both on the Flat and over jumps.
Day two of Doncaster's Lincoln Meeting is joined by action from Leopardstown on the level, while Ascot and Downpatrick are the venues of choice for National Hunt fans.
Sunday's NAP is returning to veterans' company for trainer Kim Bailey after a short break and it could well pay off given his stellar Ascot record.

The Sodexo Live! Veterans' Handicap Chase at Ascot features a cast of seven and last weekend's Carlisle scorer Credo is forecast to head the betting for Anthony Honeyball and Harry Cobden.
The mare was making it two wins in three starts after scoring at Exeter in early February, but she's got a 6lb penalty to carry now and this will be her fifth start of 2025 already. She might be worth taking on.
The hat-trick-seeking Northern Poet has to be respected for the Nick Gifford yard following wins at Doncaster and Warwick already this month, but he's on a career-high mark and dropping back markedly in distance.
Top-weight TWO FOR GOLD could be the answer for Kim Bailey and Ciaran Gethings, as he looks to supplement a good Ascot track record by gaining a deserved second win over course and distance.
He won a veterans' race here in the spring of 2023 and his record over fences at Ascot reads 221224P.
That disappointment came just before Christmas when pulled up in the Howden Silver Cup Handicap Chase, a much stronger event than the one he is contesting now, with a string of the rivals he faced going on to advertise the form since.
Prior to that, Two For Gold had run well on his seasonal bow/return from wind surgery when fourth behind Chianti Classico in the Sodexo Live! Gold Cup here in November, another quality race.
Judging him on that effort, he would look to hold excellent credentials in this contest.
He's had a nice break since that pre-Christmas outing here and this Ascot regular should relish being back at this venue with a much more manageable assignment in front of him.
He has a good record when fresh, too, and so can be expected to put his best foot forward now.
