NAP of the Day: Firefox can land another Drinmore for Elliott

Racing on Sunday comes from Fairyhouse, Leicester and Carlisle, with some Grade 1 fare from Ireland supplemented by two offerings from the UK. 

There are 22 races across the three venues, including the eagerly anticipated Hatton's Grace Hurdle showdown between Teahupoo and Lossiemouth at 14:00. Our Sunday NAP, meanwhile, bids to extend Gordon Elliott's excellent record in the Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase.

The Drinmore Novice Chase has been good to Elliott, with the Cullentra House handler boasting seven wins in the Fairyhouse Grade 1 since 2010. 

Elliott has sent out top names like Don Cossack (2013), Delta Work (2018), Envoi Allen (2020) and Mighty Potter (2022) to bag this two-and-a-half-miler. 

Last year, he was denied success as Found A Fifty came off second-best behind I Am Maximus, the Willie Mullins inmate who of course ended the season with Grand National glory at Aintree. 

Today's Horse Races

This time, Elliott and Henry De Bromhead account for all six runners. 

The latter has Heart Wood and Gorgeous Tom, while Elliott's four-strong assault is made up of FIREFOX, Stellar Story, Shecouldbeanything and Croke Park. 

Shecouldbeanything is on a sequence of chasing wins that tallies four, but her most recent Bangor victory came in unlikely circumstances and suggests a ceiling is soon to be reached, despite the mare getting 7lb from her rivals now.
