A busy Monday of racing is coming up and while Flat racing holds sway, Cork's National Hunt card makes sure there is something for everyone across Britain and Ireland. Meetings from Cork and Naas are joined by Lingfield and Ripon in the UK in the afternoon, while there is also action from Windsor and Carlisle to take us through the evening.

Our Monday Nap is running in a competitive novice race at Ripon but Simon and Ed Crisford do well at the track with their novices and they look to have another capable of landing the prize after an impressive debut.

The second race at Ripon looks a competitive race but the Simon and Ed Crisford-trained Dandana looks primed to take another step forward after an impressive win on debut.

Dandana has excellent breeding being out of Blue Point and Nafaayes, cost 600,000 guineas as a yearling so connections are expecting big things out of her going forward, and she made a pleasing enough start first time out.

The two-year-old filly made all at Kempton first time out last month, showing a little greenness before holding off Inside Story to win by half a length, and she is entitled to come on for that winning debut now that she has that experience under her belt.

With an entry in the Lowther Stakes at York later in the month, connections obviously hold her in high regard and she can reward the faith with victory at Ripon, given her style looks perfectly suited to the track and conditions should be in her favour.

The Crisfords are in fine form and boast a particularly good record at Ripon with their novices with a 43 per cent strike rate and Dandana can enhance that further with another front-running success on Tuesday.

Karl Burke's Pearl Fortune was also a winner on debut last month, beating Dragon Spin by five lengths as an 8/15 favourite, although the time wasn't especially impressive.

Edward Bethell's Rogue Temptation bounced back from a seven-length fifth at York with a somewhat surprising length-and-a-half win at Haydock at 12/1 when stepped up to six furlongs most recently.

Those two rate the obvious dangers but they also help to make the price for Dandana, who can ready for a crack at the Lowther Stakes at York with a second win in as many races.
