There is lots of Monday racing action in store across Britain and Ireland with five meetings as we head into the final full week of July. Flat racing is from Ayr, Beverley, Windsor and Ballinrobe while they go over jumps at Cartmel.

Our NAP of the Day for Monday is bound for Windsor and seeking to make a winning handicap debut having impressed last time at the Berkshire venue.

Today's Horse Races

Windsor's Monday evening cards are a staple of the summer months and they boast some quality fare this week once more.

Among the highlights will be the Class 4 British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Handicap over a mile-and-a-quarter, where a field of six are engaged.

The only last-time-out winner among them is SEEK AND DESTROY and the Ralph Beckett-trained daughter of Sea The Stars is fancied to double her Windsor tally at the first time of asking.

She was well held on her debut in a mile event on Kempton's Polytrack in November but has left that form behind since returning from a break.

She had been absent 198 days prior to her turf bow over 1m2f at Chepstow at the end of May. She produced an improved effort and was deep inside the final furlong before she was headed, going down by a nose in a photo finish behind a useful-looking colt from the Simon & Ed Crisford operation.

She then raced at Windsor three weeks ago, once more taking on the boys in a C&D maiden.

Her main market rival The King's General served up the challenge from around three furlongs out and the duo engaged in a sustained battle.

The John & Thady Gosden-trained colt had a rating of 82 and was on top entering the final furlong, but Seek And Destroy stuck to the task and wore him down late on.

She did so with a bit to spare in the end, seemingly going to the line a shade cosily under Hector Crouch.

There should be more improvement to come from this lightly-raced filly and an opening handicap mark of 79 looks exploitable.

She faces similar conditions underfoot now and while the likes of Naaey, Warren Hill, Star Jasmine and Sea Regal are also previous winners, she has plenty going for her and is fancied to oblige for a second time at Windsor this month.
