Nap of the day generic

Lots of racing action is coming up on Monday with six meetings taking place across the UK and Ireland.

They go at Windsor, Musselburgh and Roscommon the Flat, alongside afternoon jumps fare from Hereford, while there's all-weather action at Kempton and Wolverhampton in the evening. Our NAP of the Day runs for trainer Richard Fahey and is an unexposed contender over 6f on just her second all-weather start.

NAP of the Day - Monday, October 14

  • 17:30 Wolverhampton - Ziggy's Queen @ 9/1

Richard Fahey sends his filly ZIGGY'S QUEEN in search of a first win of 2024 at Wolverhampton in their 6f handicap, race three on the evening card at Dunstall Park.

The daughter of Invincible Spirit won at Musselburgh (5f, good to soft) in September last year and has yet to add a second success.

She began this season rated 80 and contested Class 3 fare at York during their Dante Festival in May.

She has run some good races through the summer months without tasting further success and has been stepped up in trip to 6f on her last two outings.

She ran well on her all-weather bow at Newcastle last month, her first time tackling this longer trip.

Next stop was Ayr, for their competitive Bronze Cup, where she ran a respectable race, beaten by around four lengths in midfield.

This is a drop in class and she now finds herself rated 8lb lower than when making that seasonal comeback in May.
