It’s off to Lincolnshire on Tuesday afternoon for a seven-race card from Market Rasen with the ground described as good to soft, good in places on the hurdle course.

The action gets underway at 14:05 and is highlighted by a handicap chase at 15:35 where the Ruth Jefferson-trained Autumn Return could get back to winning ways.

15:35 - Autumn Return each-way @ 14/1

AUTUMN RETURN has been pulled up on her last two starts, but Ruth Jefferson's charge had previously appeared a progressive and talented performer and there have been excuses for the last two disappointing efforts.

The eight-year-old stepped up in class at Musselburgh last time out, in a race which was won by the 134-rated Insurrection, and prior to that, she was beaten in a competitive handicap at Cheltenham.

Jefferson has her runner back down in grade this afternoon, off a mark which she won off at Newcastle in November, and this trip and ground look spot on.

Autumn Return has finished first and second on her two career starts at Market Rasen and her strong travelling style is well suited to the Lincolnshire venue. She can make the frame.

This is an Extra Place Race, with Betfred paying 3 places instead of 2 at 1/5 the odds for all each-way bets.

16:05 - Sailed Away @ 7/1

SAILED AWAY ran a cracking race from the front off a 216-day break at Stratford last time out in October, with Stuart Edmunds charge only giving way in the home straight.

Clearly, there have been issues with the seven-year-old as he hasn't been seen since that effort, but it's clear that Sailed Away can run well fresh.

Prior to the absence and run at Stratford, Sailed Away had bolted up at Huntingdon and looked capable of making an impact off a mark of 91.

The flat-bred son of Sea The Moon looks well-suited by level and speed orientated tracks and that's exactly what he will get in the two-and-a-half-mile handicap hurdle at 16:05.

Sailed Away runs off bottom weight here for in-form trainer Stuart Edmunds this afternoon and it would be no surprise should he boss this race under positive tactics.

17:15 - Court Cian @ 10/3

COURT CIAN could make it a double on the day for trainer Edmunds. The seven-year-old disappointed over course and distance last time out, finishing third in the seven-runner field, but the ground was testing that day and the son of Court Cave should be better suited by the faster conditions.

Prior to that below-par effort, Court Cian had bolted up by 16 lengths at Fakenham and Edmunds looked to have a progressive staying hurdler on his hands.

Court Cian was dropped two pounds for his latest effort and with Murray Dodd's claiming seven off his back here, the duo can combine for the win.
