14:55 Haydock - Lady Youmzain @ 11/1
LADY YOUMZAIN makes her first appearance at Haydock on Friday as she looks to continue her unbeaten start to her career. This three-year-old filly won comfortably on debut at Beverley back in September, winning by five lengths. That trip was over 5f and she showed further improvement by succeeding over 6f at Pontefract last time out in April.
This is the same distance she will be covering on Friday. Trainer Kevin Ryan should be feeling good about her chances given he record so far, despite not having as much experience as some of her rivals in this field.
15:42 Goodwood - Sibling Rivelry @ 9/2
With four wins from his first seven starts, there will be plenty of eyes on the David Simcock-trained SIBLING RIVELRY at Goodwood. This four-year-old returns to the scene of a C&D (1m4f) triumph in August, so this experience gives him an advantage in this stacked field.
He heads here in good form having won at Windsor on his last appearance on 11 May. Marco Ghiani was on board that day and he is booked in for this ride at Goodwood, which only bolsters Sibling Rivelry's claims.
15:53 Bath - Silver Wraith @ 6/4
SILVER WRAITH is hoping to complete a hat-trick of C&D victories at Bath on Thursday. The four-year-old filly got off the mark here back in October, following up on her last appearance in April.
She defeated Moe's Legacy by a neck and the pair will renew their rivalry on Thursday. Trainer Emma Lavelle and connections should be feeling confident about Silver Wraith's chances here and I think she will be the one to beat.
David Probert is back in the saddle after steering her to victory last time out.
19:22 Pontefract - Betweenthesticks @ 6/1
Pontefract is where I round off my picks for the day and BETWEENTHESTICKS is bidding to claim a third C&D win here. The six-year-old son of Captain Gerrard has a total of seven triumphs over 5f and the latest came at this track on 21 April, where he won by a short head as the 7/4 favourite.
He looks to have the best form of the field coming into this contest but his recent victories have not been comfortable. His yard will be hoping to see improvements here in the final stretch. I still believe Betweenthesticks is still worth backing, even if it's another nervy finish.
