Lucky 15 Tips: Chances with Wolves picks on Tuesday

Cheltenham was tough but we did have a bit of joy - and then found three out of four from Southwell on Saturday night, including a 9/2 fancy that actually won at 9/1.

16:28 - Sintra @ 6/4

Juddmonte's main man Colin Keane jets in for this one ride, for trainer Andrew Balding.

There will have been much thought given to the next run of Sintra, a three-year-old son of the mighty Kingman, after a very pleasing third 41 days ago, a length adrift on debut in a Newcastle Tapeta maiden.

It's the same surface here at Wolves, and the fourth home that day has subsequently gone on to win a maiden here for Karl Burke. That first start was over a mile, and he gets an extra half-furlong today - seen as a positive, as he was running on nicely last time at the business end.

In opposition Richard Hughes fields a similarly once-raced colt who's penalised 7lb for winning an Ayr novice on soft ground last September. His Nobody Knows, a Wootton Bassett offspring, faces a different surface here and hopefully won't find it easy to concede the weight, even though he's got some fancy early closing entries for the Curragh, going forward (Irish Guineas and Derby).

Fascinating novice stakes heat, Andrew's yard are flying with a 30% strike-rate, and Colin rode a winner on the Curragh on Sunday as turf racing returned to Ireland for the new season. Plenty to be positive about.

17:00 - Lahan Kingdom @ 6/5

A 7f novice now, and a field of all three-year-olds.

The selection is Lahan Kingdom, this time a daughter of Kingman, out of a Dubawi mare. One run so far for this one - at Newbury last August, a running-on third beaten 3.5l by a Godolphin inmate that went on to win at Leicester before being fairly close-up in the £57k Rockfel at HQ in September.

She's another with a tentative Curragh Guineas appointment, the 1000 this time, and Richard Hughes is again the handler, from his Upper Lambourn base.

The quite brilliant Billy Loughnane, carrying all before him this all-weather season, has the riding assignment and getting stacks of weight from the only colt in the field (12lb), she can score in the familiar Jaber Abdullah silks.

18:30 - Al Shabab @ 2/1

Experienced types now, for a Classified Stakes contest over 1m 1.5f. My selection Al Shabab ran a cracker here just a fortnight ago for Sean Levey, and the five-year-old Saxon Warrior gelding was beaten just a length in a basement handicap.

Our pick is trained by Dave Evans in Monmouthshire, and the booking of Rossa Ryan, who has been on top previously, catches the eye. He's in-form, decently-drawn mid-div in the five box, and gets the mighty Rossa. My best bet of the four I think.

He's treated pretty well by the race conditions and is very consistent. Stalking run from Rossa, assert at the distance, win half-a-length.

19:00 - Lady Delila @ 9/4

Another division of the previous race, again a Classified Stakes over the same trip.

My fancy is a six-year-old mare in the care of Iain Jardine in Dumfries & Galloway - Lady Delila. No wins from 16 starts so far for this one, but she's been placed the last twice with very consistent runs at Newcastle and here in the Midlands, and on the last of those 12 days ago in the North-East she was partnered by today's excellent 5lb claimer Mohammed Tabti.

He had a winner for Ian on March 11 and might just notch another at Dunstall Park tonight.
