Lucky 15 Tips: Statuario set for more Perth glory

There are five race meetings across Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with a mix of Flat and jumps action to take in. The key race of the day in the UK is the Listed Foundation Stakes at Goodwood (16:05), while in Ireland it's over jumps at Listowel where they stage Guinness Kerry National (16:20).
Goodwood is joined by Redcar and Kempton (AW) on the Flat, while up in Scotland there's jumps fare at the UK's most northerly track in Perth. Our Lucky15 Tips for Wednesday include course specialist Statuario as he returns to Perth with his sights lowered.
Lucky 15 Tips - Wednesday, September 25
15:03 Perth – Statuario @ 9/4
The David Whitaker Handicap Chase at Perth over three-miles features a recent course and distance winner in Wasdell Dundalk and a hat-trick seeker in Kinondo Kwetu but preference is for STATUARIO for the Peter and Sean Bowen team.
He's got four wins and six more placed efforts from 22 starts over fences and all four of those successes have come at this circuit.
He was a dual winner over 2m5f in 2022, finished fourth over that trip on his Perth return in April and has since added back-to-back wins over this trip in May and June.
He ran a cracking third in the Summer Plate at Market Rasen off this mark next time and has since contested the exceptionally competitive Galway Blazers Handicap Chase in Ireland on his only run since.
He was only midfield there it was a far deeper race than this and he looks capable of another big run in Scotland.

15:30 Goodwood – Huddle Up @ 10/3
HUDDLE UP looks destined to get back in the winners' enclosure soon after three good runs for new trainer Jack Jones.
The Anjaal gelding has finished second, third and second in a trio of runs at Pontefract and Yarmouth over 5f/6f on ground ranging from good-to-soft to good-to-firm since he moved to this handler from the David Barron yard in July.
He hasn't been beaten more than a length in any of those three instances and has arguably been a touch unfortunate not to collect something for his troubles.
Conditions at Goodwood are forecast to be 'heavy' and while that may be a worry for some of his rivals, Huddle Up won his maiden in Ireland on just such going and so it is likely to suit him well.

16:32 Redcar – True Wisdom @ 9/4
After cutting out the fraction in front, TRUE WISDOM couldn't have done a lot more for Connor Beasley over course and distance this month as they had to settle for second behind Ed Bethell's Sea That Storm.
It was a mere head-bob that split them as the winner made it 3-3 since joining current connections and remained unbeaten on grass.
True Wisdom can go again from an unchanged mark now and Charlie Johnston's filly may make it second time lucky around Redcar.

16:52 Listowel – Shecouldbeanything @ 6/4
Gordon Elliot will be hoping to land the Kerry National but the Cullentra handler has five contenders in the mix and it's a tough puzzle to solve.
Later, look out for SHECOULDBEANYTHING in the Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa Mares Novice Chase in the hands of Jack Kennedy.
She was a five-time winner over hurdles, attaining a rating of 140 at her best, and she made a pleasing start to this phase of her career when chasing home Jesse Evans last time at Galway (2m2f, good to yielding). The extra distance here looks a plus and she can go one better in receipt of 7lb from the field.
As a guide, a £0.50p Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the quoted prices and assuming all four won, would return around £168.08 for your total £7.50 stake.
