Lucky 15 Tips: It’s Hector’s house for the afternoon

Slightly quieter than Royal Ascot week (!), but nevertheless there's a cracking spread of racing on Wednesday in the UK and Ireland offering six meetings, and plenty of variety.
I'm heading to Salisbury for a grand-looking seven-race card which has attracted jocks of the calibre of Tom Marquand, Dave Probert and Hector Crouch - serial winners who will looking to add to their tallies this afternoon. Here's my Lucky 15 tips for June 25.
Lucky 15 Tips - Wednesday, June 25
Salisbury
15:25 - Nifty @ 13/8
The most experienced runner in the field and already a winner.
Nifty races in the famous Highclere Thoroughbreds silks, is trained by Richard Hughes, and Hector Crouch is up top. Two runs to date - a very fine debut third here on May 24 and that success, at Chelmsford, 20 days ago.
Nifty is a two-year-old Dandy Man filly who obviously has ability. She's in a couple of the big sales races upcoming and she can take this en route to hopefully what will be a bright future.
15:55 - Dark Thirty @ 10/3
Richard Hannon trains, and Sean Levey has the riding assignment. Dark Thirty is a five-year-old Starspangledbanner gelding with five career wins from 28 starts.
He leapt into his very best last time at York in a higher grade than this and was beaten just 1.25l. He's up just a pound for that to a mark of 89, and he's won off 93 as recently as last April.
In-form, takes a wee drop in class, and a yard that do very well here and have done since time began. Ish. Same 6f trip, but encouragingly, gets further.
That'll do for me.
16:58 - Cape Breton @ 4/1
Legendary Juddmonte silks now with a three-year-old Frankel gelding from Ralph Beckett's Hampshire base. The fortunate and excellent Mr Crouch once more is doing the steering.
Five lifetime runs so far, and one win, at two; a one-mile Lingfield novice. This season he's produced two decent efforts at Ascot and York in pretty hot contests, and this one will take some winning - but things didn't go too well on the Knavesmire after an untidy start and that previous effort at Ascot resulted in a one-length defeat to one that took its chance at the Royal meeting last week.
A cracker of a contest with some good yards in opposition.
17:35 - Too Don Juan @ 10/3
Can hardly believe it, but it's Hector and Ralph once again; this time with a three-year-old Too Darn Hot gelding looking for win number one after five starts.
Too Don Juan wasn't at his best last time at Sandown, renowned for its stiff finish. The handicapper has responded by dropping him a couple of pounds, and he's also stepping down to a mile from 10f.
Throw in a Class drop, from a C4 to a C5, on a kinder track, and I'm hooked. Time for that first career success.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £340 for your total £7.50 stake.
