Wednesday’s Lucky 15 Tips: Billy, please be a hero

Lovely to see Hayley Turner notch her 1,000th career winner yesterday - the bright spot of our bet, but we didn't find anything to back it up. New day, new challenge ..
I'm concentrating on the all-weather today - I must confess I love it, and see it providing excellent consistency in terms of form. Look out for those jocks who just absorb winners like a sponge - Rossa Ryan, Billy Loughnane, Oisin Murphy, among others; and in Ireland, the likes of Colin Keane and Billy Lee are prolific. Always worth a look.
Prices can of course fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four were successful, would return around £153 for your total £7.50 stake.
Popular legend confirms that Fred, 'The Bonus King,' invented the 'Lucky' series of bets and their bonuses. Want the lowdown - all the ins and outs? My colleague Adam has set out all you need to know with this handy guide - take a look by clicking here.
Lucky 15, Wednesday
13.45 Dundalk - Tiger King @ 3/1
Unashamedly looking to one of the pilots mentioned above for two of today's fancies - the quite brilliant William James Lee.
Billy rides Tiger King here for Richard O'Brien in a 7f 2-yr-old maiden. The colt has had two spins so far, and last time here just a week ago he encouragingly finished close up. Barring some youthful inexperience close home he might even have won.
I'm expecting Mr Lee, who was aboard last time, to help iron out the kinks this time and do the business this afternoon.
16.05 Dundalk - Cross Border @ 5/4
Billy Lee once again, on a 3-yr-old gelded son of Expert Eye. Dad was a Breeders' Cup winner - and Cross Border has shown plenty of promise in maidens thus far.
Edward Lynam trains - a master with sprinters - and our selection was denied by just a neck last time, on this track. In a similar event today the outstanding Lee is expected by me at least to make the difference, and help lose that maiden tag. He's got an experience edge over most of his rivals and of those to have received a mark he's rated joint-top.
16.30 Wolverhampton - Bradman @ 2/1
A horse named one assumes after the greatest batsman ever to lay willow on leather. After three very modest runs this 2-yr-old was gelded in October, and proceeded to run very well here at this trip, in a slightly higher grade.
That was only 5 days ago, and Bradman is turned out swiftly for trainer Charlie Fellowes, who has booked the excellent Kieran Shoemark to ride. He finished strongly last time after a tardy start and will know more today.
20.00 Wolverhampton - Enola Grey @ 11/4
A Class 5 handicap, over a mile and half-a-furlong.
Enola Grey is a 3-yr-old daughter of the prolific Havana Grey, and has been in very consistent form during the autumn. At Newcastle last time she was slowly away, yet finished to such effect that she only went down by half a length.
That was over a mile and she gets another half-furlong here to get organised. Shane Gray rides once again, for N. Yorkshire trainer Gemma Tutty.
