Lucky 15 Tips: Marquand can score with Haggas gelding

We're looking at Wednesday already for our Lucky 15 tips, in a changed world. Mr Southgate is no longer the England team coach, and we must thank him for the stabilising and reforming effect he's had upon the nature and make-up of the national team.
As for matters of the turf, there's bags of quality midweek action dotted around the country, plus a nice flat card at Killarney over in Ireland. The excellent Tom Marquand is Thirsk-bound for three booked rides including a couple for main retainer William Haggas, and that's where I'm headed, too. Seven races, with a start time of 13:52.
Lucky 15 tips Wednesday
Thirsk
14:22 - Genesius @ 2/1
Claimer Morgan Cole (5lb) rides for the red-hot yard of Sir Mark Prescott (44% strike-rate over the past fortnight).
Genesius is a course-and-distance scorer and is in very good form right now without quite managing to catch the judge's eye. Form figures of 332 for his last three spins, and not beaten far - the feeling in my view at least is that his turn is at hand.
Handles cut in the ground and has a clear opportunity to resume winning ways.
14:52 - Stash The Cash @ 4/1
Trappy-looking sprint with value to be had if you've a view.
Stash The Cash is a three-year-old Profitable gelding trained by Tim Easterby. About now I wax lyrical and get misty-eyed about the wonderful Easterby clan, Sea Pigeon, and all that magnificent nostalgia. Consider it done.
This one has slipped to a mark (65) just a pound above his last winning spot, and he's pretty consistent. Good third at Beverley last time, arguably finding the finish a little on the stiff side. This is kinder, and he won't mind any juice in the ground either.
It's an ordinary little Class 5 heat but he's run respectably in slightly higher, and has every chance on Wednesday for the great Easterby dynasty in Yorkshire!
15:22 - Germanic @ 13/8
Tom Marquand rides for William Haggas, who loves having winners in his native county.
Germanic is a three-year-old Saxon Warrior gelding who absolutely dotted up at Newcastle 19 days ago in a novice at this 7f trip. It was only his second start, and he'd shown promise albeit at a distance on debut at Newbury.
Not hard to fancy then, hailing from a powerful Newmarket yard and being open to all kinds of improvement. Is entered up in a nice handicap at York's Ebor Festival next month.
16:55 - Saaheq @ 11/2
A modest-grade 5f handicap to send us all home content - fingers crossed!
Saaheq is a ten-year-old veteran who remains in very consistent order for trainer Adrian Nicholls. The Invincible Spirit gelding is habitually claimer-ridden, but Paddy Mathers takes over this afternoon.
He was only beaten just over a length at Ayr in an amateur event 10 days ago and I'm taking heart that he's popped out again so relatively swiftly, and that connections feel this is is a heat he can win.
If you're playing take care, good luck, and as always, have fun.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £325 for your total £7.50 stake.
