Lucky 15

Whisper it, dearest reader, but we're in a bit of form ...! Saturday's Lucky 15 kicked off with a 5/1 winner (returned 8/1), and on the same day the companion ITV Racing piece tipped up the winner of the Northumberland Plate (advised 9/1, returned 12s), alongside other hints that brought tangible rewards.

So to a new week, a new month, and Tuesday's fare points me towards an evening meet at leafy Lingers, featuring many of our sport's stellar names - Oisin Murphy, Tom Marquand, Rossa Ryan and Billy Loughnane among their number. So - for today's Lucky 15 tips it's Lingfield, first race 18.30, on Tuesday July 2nd. If you're playing - have fun, take care, and good luck.

Lucky 15 tips Tuesday

Lingfield

  • 18:30 - Fictional @ 13/8
  • 19:30 - Seraph Gabriel @ 11/8
  • 20.30 - Warriors Dream @ 13/8
  • 21:00 - Wrestling Revenue @ 11/10

Horse Racing Odds

18:30 - Fictional @ 13/8

Oisin Murphy rides for Richard Hughes - elite jockeys past and present.

The four-year-old Make Believe gelding won tidily at Kempton 20 days ago in this grade and shoulders a 5lb penalty. Hughes resists booking a claimer to offset that and goes for former champion Murphy, and I'm taking heart from that.

It was career-best for me last time and Fictional shoots up now to this 2m trip. Looks definitely worth a blast to me. Can go from the front - interesting to see which way Oisin plays it.

19:30 - Seraph Gabriel @ 11/8

Another potent combo - Rossa Ryan, fresh from that brilliant Pretty Polly win on Bluestocking at the Curragh, and that superb filly's trainer Ralph Beckett.

These are just two-year-old babies, and Seraph Gabriel ran a fine race on debut at Newbury 19 days ago in a warm novice, beaten only 2l. This is just start number two but given typical improvement for that initial run will I believe be very hard to beat.

Newbury form is invariably rock-solid and some big yards contested that one. We'll be on the sand for the opener but it's the turf track for this one.

20.30 - Warriors Dream @ 13/8

Tom Marquand is on top here, for Newmarket handler Sean Woods.

Warriors Dream is another who ran well at Newbury the last day, meeting some interference when losing out by 2.5l over a mile. Interestingly he drops down to 7f tonight and will need to secure clear passage even more so - but with just five going to post one hopes traffic will be minimal at the crucial moments.

The horse is a three-year-old Oasis Dream colt and has been obligingly dropped a couple of pounds by the kindly handicapper. Reckon Tom can do the business possibly at the main expense of his wife Hollie Doyle, and her mount Yellow Pages. Smashing little heat.

21:00 - Wrestling Revenue @ 11/10

Rossa Ryan again, this time for Worcestershire trainer Tony Carroll.

Wrestling Revenue is a three-year-old Mehmas gelding who won nicely, claimer-ridden, at Brighton a fortnight ago. Carroll now resists the claimer-option and takes Rossa, one of the hottest properties in the sport right now.

He's ridden the horse a couple of times in the past and in this field, for me, he really should be winning. He's only up 2lb for that latest success and he knows where the jam-stick is.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!

The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £68 for your total £7.50 stake.
