Lucky 15 Tips: Her Majesty Hollie can reign supreme

Thursday's Lucky 15 tips come from a seven-race card on Newcastle's Tapeta all-weather track. Hollie Doyle is perhaps the headline act among the jocks, and there's highly competitive racing as usual.
The action for this evening meet kicks in at 17:30.
Lucky 15 Tips - Thursday, March 6
Newcastle
- 17:30 - Rock Armour @ 11/4
- 18:30 - Aurora Majesty @ 7/4
- 19:00 - Mr Mistoffelees @ 5/2
- 19:30 - Latin Five @ 9/4
(prices accurate at time of publication, and can of course fluctuate)
17:30 - Rock Armour @ 11/4
A modest 10f handicap, but a selection in undoubtedly fine fettle just now.
Rock Armour is a four-year-old Fastnet Rock gelding who struck here on Valentine's Day in a similar contest, with a degree of comfort. He came within 2l of defying a 5lb penalty 14 days ago, again here at Gosforth Park, and the nasty old assessor has raised him a further pound for that excellent effort.
He didn't really get the rub of the green in the latter stages last time and is nicely better off with conqueror Susiesparkle, who reopposes on 5lb worse terms. In such good heart he can go in again for me, and David Egan gets the ride for the first time.
18:30 - Aurora Majesty @ 7/4
A great combo now - trainer Archie Watson and jockey Hollie Doyle, responsible for a wagonload of winners over the last several years.
The selection is an unraced three-year-old Night Of Thunder colt in this 7f maiden, namely Aurora Majesty. I've made my choice completely on the basis of this collaboration, and the bloodline that brings to the table a 2000 Guineas and Lockinge success.
I'm betting he'll know his job, and that Hollie can do the rest.
19:00 - Mr Mistoffelees @ 5/2
Rather more to go on here, with a five-year-old Siyouni gelding handled by Sam England in West Yorkshire.
Mr Mistoffelees had a nice 165-day break between his last run in the summer, and a reappearance at Wetherby just after Christmas. He was pulled up that day (novice hurdle), but in two subsequent mile handicaps on the flat at Southwell he's placed a close-up third on both occasions, off a mark of 75.
He's down a pound to 74 today and a repeat of either recent outing form-wise puts him bang in this. In-demand 7lb claimer Warren Fentiman has the riding assignment.
19:30 - Latin Five @ 9/4
This one won here at the trip 33 days ago but as the margin of victory was only a head in a similarly modest contest, is asked only to shoulder a 2lb penalty.
Latin Five is trained by Paul Midgley in North Yorkshire, and David Nolan in on board. The eight-year-old gelding has seven career wins from 65 starts, and was winning the last day after a 128-day break following wind surgery.
That was a cracking return for connections in terms of persevering and giving the horse every chance of being far more comfortable and effective in that vital regard, and such initiative deserves further reward.
Today's jock rode a patient waiting race last time and race-readers marked up the performance a little as he really only hit top gear late in the piece, after looking for room - and got there in the nick of time. There might just be a little bit more in the tank, and I'm hoping we see that tonight.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £165 for your total £7.50 stake.
