Thursday’s Lucky 15 Tips: Oh, oh, oh Keano!

We're in very decent nick, I think it's fair to say. A couple of winners earlier in the week, and a splendid three from four on Tuesday, showing a handsome profit for our suggested flutter. STOP PRESS - another couple of winners on Wednesday - 7/4 and 3/1. Long may we reign (as if!)

On Thursday there's a seven-race early evening Leopardstown card kicking in at 16:55, including a couple of Listed heats. Make a lovely change then to pop over the Irish Sea for our Lucky 15 tips - and to one of Ireland's premier tracks. Metaphorically rub shoulders with the likes of Billy Lee and Colin Keane. Lovely stuff.

17:30 - Keeper's Heart @ 13/8

We start our Lucky 15 with a Listed heat for three-year-olds, over 1m 4f.

Keeper's Heart is a Saxon Warrior colt out of a Hawk Wing mare, stepping up a couple of furlongs after a superb staying-on effort last time in a Group 3 trial at this venue. The winner was Los Angeles, who ran so well to be third in the Betfred Epsom Derby last weekend.

Strong form then, and with the brilliant Colin Keane on board once again career start number four can be the best yet.

18:30 - Tarawa @ 2/1

The famous Aga Khan colours now, and Betfred Oaks-winning duo Dermot Weld and jockey Chris Hayes.

Tarawa is a four-year-old filly who's been keeping some pretty exalted company. This Listed affair looks perfect, as on seasonal reappearance in this grade 18 days ago she ran on nicely at the finish over 7f, and gets what I feel is her best trip of a mile+ here.

She goes well on these lush acres and the stable could hardly be in more buoyant order.

19:30 - Glor Tire @ 5/2

Jim Bolger trains, and a 10lb claimer steps in for the ride as the three-year-old Teofilo (another of Bolger's) filly bids to complete a hat-trick.

Glor Tire won readily off a mark of 79 at Gowran just three days ago and turns out swiftly on a revised figure of 86. The horse runs in the famous colours of Mrs Bolger, and if Gabriella Hill can make the most of that huge claim she might just be able to repel all would-be boarders.

20:00 - I Bid You Ajou @ 3/1

The great Colin Keane once again is in the plate, this time for Curragh trainer Michael O'Callaghan.

I Bid You Ajou is still a maiden, but has run well in his last two assignments, both handicaps. Colin was on top for those spins and will know the horse well by this stage.

He steps up a furlong tonight and that looks sure to suit, given he was staying-on nicely when last seen a month ago. In Colin we trust ...
