14:05 Lingfield - Miss Dishy @ 10/3

The opener is a little mares' novices' contest over two miles.

Our selection Miss Dishy is a six-year-old daughter of Eclipse winner Mount Nelson and is trained in County Westmeath, in the heart of Ireland. She's quite experienced in relation to her rivals with eight races under rules (two wins), and reappears after a 111-day break.

That last outing at Down Royal certainly indicated a little rest was called for as she ran way below par, as just a couple of weeks earlier she'd comfortably taken a Limerick maiden under today's 3lb claiming jockey.

For me she's got another daughter of Mount Nelson to beat, Rula Bula. Should be a cracking tussle between the pair.

15:05 - Drayton Flyer @ 7/4

In my view the strongest of today's four, as Olly Murphy and Sean Bowen team up yet again on a promising maiden.

Drayton Flyer has run twice thus far, second on both occasions, the last of which was here 20 days ago, beaten 8l on heavy. Should be less testing today, and the easy winner last time was a Skelton hot-pot (and it was 5l back to the third).

Decent effort then on hurdling debut with the other runner-up spot secured in a Wetherby bumper, won ironically by a stablemate, with one of today's rivals Blue Bellamy about 4.5l further back.

Normal progress for this powerful team can see him in the spot reserved for the winner this afternoon.

16:05 - Weaver's Answer @ 10/3

Experienced handicap hurdlers now, and a Tim Vaughan-trained seven-year-old gelding on a slight class-drop.

Fine effort at Hereford in mid-December in a Class 4 when last seen, and Weaver's Answer drops to a C5 this afternoon on the back of a run which was probably as good as anything he's produced in his career to date.

His mark of 95 is unchanged, and jockey Alan Johns knows the horse well. Two wins so far from 15 starts, and bright prospects of going mighty close here. Goes particularly well when fresh from a little break such as this and it could well be a win for Wales.

16:35 - Superstylin @ 4/1

Sean Bowen has ridden this Suzy Smith-trained eight-year-old several times in the past, including a visit to the winners' enclosure at this very track around 16 months back.

Superstylin ran here a fortnight ago under Sean and didn't get competitive, but the gelding always strips fitter for the run after a little break. The assessor has generously dropped him 3lb and that will certainly help his cause.

It's a very ordinary little heat and it's encouraging that Sean's once again in the plate. No Festival flavour to today's proceedings but it's precious grass roots National Hunt fare, and winning connections will still feel that they've conquered Everest, metaphorically-speaking.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
