Lucky 15 Tips: Dazzling Dave looks to maintain recent fabulous run

Greetings. Thursday's racing takes us all around the UK and Ireland, and we're gloriously spoilt for choice. Given the presence of the likes of Hollie Doyle, Tom Marquand, Dave Probert and David Egan, to name but a few, then Leicester is surely an admirable choice.

I've attended several times back in the day with some very special people - priceless memories both on the flat and over the sticks. Fingers crossed then for a cracking Thursday afternoon, and Lucky 15 tips that show just as much enthusiasm as we do! First of a seven-race card is scheduled for 14:00.

Started yesterday with an 11/4 winner (returned 9/2), so after a brace on Tuesday too we're in danger of being in a bit of good form (famous last words)!

14:00 - This Guy @ 7/4

Two-year-olds go 7f in this opening nursery handicap.

My selection This Guy is trained by in-form Clive Cox (23% strike rate in the last fortnight), and the Lambourn handler has booked the even-hotter Dave Probert (32%) to do the steering.

Three progressive runs so far in novice company, especially the last two - close up at both Haydock and Chepstow over 6f, with the prospect of an additional 220 yards today being of benefit. His sire Blue Point was all speed but with the dam being by Dubawi there's a brilliant stamina influence too.

Super little contest; one I'm very much looking forward to. Good trainer, fine jockey, upwardly mobile profile, and even on the evidence of just three runs, seemingly the tools in hand with which to do the job (heavily backed on Wednesday afternoon/evening).

15:00 - Sceptic @ 6/1

Mr Probert once again, on an Ian Williams five-year-old stepping up to 12f in a bid to turn recent narrow defeats into victory.

The much-maligned handicapper has dropped Sceptic a couple of pounds which will help - he's down to 57, a mark he won off when last successful at Wolves in March.

The No Nay Never gelding is admirably consistent and with Williams being amongst the winners of late he can go extremely well this afternoon.

16:05 - Bernalda @ 10/3

A 10f fillies' handicap now, and another whose turn is surely close at hand.

Bernalda is a four-year-old daughter of the peerless Frankel, looking for a first career success after 10 spins so far (placed second or third on four of those runs).

James Ferguson trains, and the superb Danny Muscott, who knows the horse well, has the riding assignment. Last time out at Wetherby four weeks ago she failed by a short-head to take an apprentice heat and is only a pound higher this afternoon (67).

She's been rated as high as 74 last autumn and she's probably finding her level right now. Time for that maiden racecourse success in what looks an ordinary enough basement Class 6 handicap.

16:38 - Toota @ 13/8

Tim Easterby's yard is a little quiet winners-wise at present but I'm hoping this three-year-old Sands Of Mali filly can do the business for Great Habton in this 7f Class 6 handicap.

Toota is still a maiden after nine attempts but is another with some creditable placed efforts (5). The assessor has her at 55 right now from a high of 57, and she's probably unlucky not to have benefitted from a pound or two of relief - but the handicapper is no mug, and she's been competitive enough to suggest her turn isn't too far away at all.

Duran Fentiman knows her well, and takes the mount.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
