Lucky 15 Tips: Could be some joy for both Willie and Dan

Newmarket's Craven meeting has thrown up some interesting performances this week, and it's their final day. For our Lucky 15 tips however let's visit jump racing HQ at Cheltenham, and get an up-to-the-minute 'feel' for the ongoing Willie Mullins/Dan Skelton battle at the summit of the British NH Trainers Championship.
Action is from 13:35, there are seven contests, and some of the biggest names in our sport are present.
Lucky 15 Tips - Thursday, April 17
Cheltenham
13:35 - Maxios Prime @ 9/2
Willie Mullins looks to strike first here with Sainte Lucie for the Riccis, but after an ordinary showing in the Triumph Hurdle she must defy topweight of 12st.
I'd sooner side with another Irish raider in Maxios Prime. Philip Rothwell's four-year-old filly produced a standout performance last time at Fairyhouse in February, beating a Joseph O'Brien-trained rival with authority, though she did look around a little when hitting the front - understandable on just career spin number five.
Jonathan Burke takes over in the saddle from a claimer and though of course this is much tougher, last time represented a real statement of intent; announcing her arrival with a tasty Racing Post rating to boot.
Any English Festival temptations were resisted by her County Wicklow-based handler, and that patience can be rewarded here as they pursue a nice prize of around £22k.
14:10 - Coco Mademoiselle @ 7/2
Right - here's a great opportunity for Team Skelton to put one on the board, and a few vital pounds in the prize-money column.
Coco Mademoiselle is a seven-year-old daughter of Doyen, a King George winner for Godolphin 21 summers ago, and she's out of a Presenting mare. Gloriously-bred then, and the mare's enjoying a fruitful time after winning a point, a bumper and a couple of hurdle races.
Sent chasing in September, she's contested three over the larger obstacles, with highly respectable results (two close seconds, plus a decent sixth beaten 7.25l here in December). The yard step her up in distance to 3m 1f, and given that point win over similar at the start of her career it might be just what the doctor ordered.
Cracking heat; and Harry, of course, is doing the steering.
15:20 - Theatre Native @ 15/8
I'm siding with the irrepressible combination of Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore now with a seven-year-old Getaway mare, who promisingly threatens to be a better chaser than she was over timber.
Just one hurdle success, a Fairyhouse maiden, but three runs over the larger obstacles have shown Theatre Native in a very positive light. Last time at Thurles she was a close-up second, and it was 15l back to the third. She was favourite that day too, so it's evidently no secret that there's confidence behind her.
It might just be graduation time, and where better to do just that than at the home of jump racing.
15:55 - Saint Tartare @ 9/4
I'm going for a Mullins family enterprise now - trainer Willie and nephew Danny combine with a seven-year-old French-bred mare that took at little Limerick maiden when last seen in January by the small matter of 21l - and the second that day won next time out by even further!
Saint Tartare is having only career start number four today but has shown plenty already and will surely be very hard to beat in this Listed affair, worth again around £22k to the winner.
Super card at Chelters, and I'm looking forward very much to seeing how it all pans out.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £290 for your total £7.50 stake.
