Lucky 15 Tips: Sayva set for Sunday special

There are three Sunday afternoon jumps offerings across Britain and Ireland, with action from Carlisle, Naas and Warwick on the eve of Cheltenham eve!

The Irish action boasts a Grade 3 via the Kingsfurze Novice Hurdle alongside the Listed Leinster National Handicap Chase. We've picked out a Lucky 15 selection from across the three cards, including hat-trick seeking Sayva for the Jonjo & AJ O'Neill team at Carlisle.

14:20 Warwick – Lime Drop @ 6/4

Just three runners go to post for the Kathleen Blake Memorial Mares' Handicap Chase at Warwick, with Ostrava Du Berlais and LIME DROP the pair most likely to scrap it out.

The former has shown promise and looks set to be an odds-on jolly for Venetia Williams but she may struggle to contain Henry Daly's charge, who drops in class.

Lime Drop has twice won mares' races at Uttoxeter this season over 2m and her overall figures prior to last month's defeat at Exeter were 21321 for the season.

She came up shy in a really decent Mares' Listed contest last time but that is overlooked easily. The drop in class favours her and she can take this small-field event.

14:40 Naas – Belloccio @ 2/1

The Willie Mullins bandwagon is all set for the Cotswolds but, such is the sheer depth of his operation, the Closutton chief could well pick up this Grade 3 at Naas with BELLOCCIO before departing for Gloucestershire on Monday.

This son of Belardo won a Punchestown maiden over 2m in May last year on his stable debut, easily scoring by nine lengths, and then went and won on the level at Royal Ascot off a mark of 100 in the Copper Horse Handicap (1m6f, good to firm) in June.

The ex-David Menuisier inmate has come up shy in his two starts since, in the Long Distance Cup at Ascot on Champions Day and the Grade 2 Royal Bond at Fairyhouse in December. He takes a drop in class now and can oblige under Danny Mullins.

15:30 Carlisle – Sayva @ 7/4

Jonjo & AJ O'Neill will have strong hopes that SAYVA can complete a hat-trick of hurdles wins in this Southwaite Handicap Hurdle at Carlisle over just shy of two-and-a-half-miles.

The Harzand gelding has shown a real aptitude for this discipline and is two from three over timber following wins at Newcastle (2m1f, good) and Hereford (2m3½f, good to soft) in October and December.

Last time he made all and readily repelled the useful Pigeon House late on for a comfortable win.

An opening handicap mark of 122 looks entirely fair and the burden of carrying top-weight is eased by Benjamin Macey taking off 7lb in the saddle.

17:20 Naas – Apple's Jane @ 6/5

Switch From Diesel may prove popular in this Naas mares' bumper and she has certainly served her time, with some good efforts in decent company, but Ross O'Sullivan's daughter of Yeats may be settling for a supporting role again.

She has to give weight to the Gordon Elliott-trainer four-year-old APPLES JANE, a well-bred filly by Walk In The Park out of Apple's Jade.

She was just touched off by stablemate Eternal Echo at this track a month ago, with the winner running well again since, and will have learned plenty from that outing. She gets weight from the field and can be a big danger to all.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
