There are just two UK meetings taking place on Sunday afternoon, with National Hunt fare from Uttoxeter joined by a Flat card from Pontefract.

The Yorkshire venue boasts Listed action via the Pomfret Stakes, while there's competitive jumps fare in the Midlands and the two venues feature among our Lucky15 picks for Sunday's racing.

Horse Racing Odds

14:12 Pontefract – Glamour Show @ 11/10

Eve Johnson-Houghton can land the Pontefract opener with GLAMOUR SHOW. The Showcasing filly shaped with plenty of promise on her debut in a Newbury novice at the start of this month over 6f on fast ground, beaten three lengths when finishing sixth, and has since built on that to be a half-length second over the same C&D nine days ago.

Further progress is anticipated now and she can have the measure of River Seine, with Karl Burke's filly being a beaten favourite in her last two starts in novice company.

15:25 Uttoxeter – Porter In The Park @ 11/4

Just shy of three-miles is the trip in this handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter and the mare PORTER IN THE PARK is a leading contender after two wins and two seconds in her last four starts for Emma Lavell.

The latest of those came over course and distance four weeks ago, when she was just unable to peg back the pace-setting winner Pyffo from a 3lb lower mark in this grade.

It was another very solid effort, however, and this seven-year-old doesn't appear to be fully exposed at staying trips. She has strong claims of breaking her Uttoxeter duck at the second time of asking.

Today's Horse Races

16:12 Pontefract – Retracement @ 1/4

This Class 5 Pontefract maiden should prove within reach for the William Haggas-trained RETRACEMENT.

The Australia gelding was a close third at Yarmouth on his debut in April over a mile. The winner was a Listed scorer next time at Sandown and far from disgraced in Group 1 company at Royal Ascot, while three of those who finished behind have obliged since.

Tom Marquand's partner will have learned plenty from her debut outing, starting slowly and finishing fast, and can take the step forward needed to open her account now.

17:25 Uttoxeter – Jacobs Acre @ 7/2

The finale on the card at Uttoxeter is a 2m handicap hurdle and JACOBS ACRE could be the answer on his second start for Neil Mulholland.

The Jet Away gelding didn't achieve a lot in bumpers but made some further inroads on his hurdling bow at Wincanton (1m7f, soft) in March, running third behind an easy 117-rated winner in Don't Tell Su for the Paul Nicholls yard.

At Worcester last month in maiden company, Jacobs Acre was second-best behind Vocito, the winner again having made all.

That form has been boosted by the first, third and fourth all winning their next completed starts and this six-year-old can follow suit in a first-time hood.
