Lucky 15 generic

With three British and Irish meetings taking place across Sunday there's plenty of racing action to look after jumps enthusiasts.

There are jumps cards at Thurles, Windsor and Fakenham, and we've picked out four to follow to form a Lucky 15, including Stuntman Steve who can strike on his handicap debut. Check out the Lucky 15 Tips down below.

Lucky 15 Betting Tips - Sunday, January 19

  • 14: 35 Thurles - That's About Right @ 2/1
  • 14:45 Fakenham - Pretending @ 7/1
  • 15:10 Thurles - Stuntman Steve @ 13/2
  • 15:45 Thurles - Ask d'Man @ 5/1

14: 35 Thurles - That's About Right @ 2/1

Trainer Philip Rothwell has had a superb few months and has already amassed 28 winners this season. A seven-year-old son of Califet, THAT'S ABOUT RIGHT can maintain his fine form in the 2m6f handicap chase.

A three-time winner over hurdles, he got off the mark over larger obstacles in a three-runner event at the course in November over 2m2f when seeing off the long odds-on favourite Boldog on good ground.

He was in front after jumping the last on his handicap chase debut here over 2m5f last month but just got headed by the classy Prairie Dancer late on. He's effectively 1lb better off here factoring in rider's claims, so must go close.

14:35 Thurles - Winner That's About Right

Odds correct at time of publishing.

Fakenham 14:45 – Pretending @ 7/1

Heading across to Fakenham next and in the 2m4f mares' handicap hurdle, PRETENDING should give a good account for trainer Lucy Wadham with Tom Cannon booked for the ride.

Wadham has a 23% strike-rate at the track in the last five seasons and has sent out four winners from 10 runners there this term, while Cannon has a 33% return at the track in the last five seasons.

Pretending faded out of things late on in the mud over 2m at Southwell on New Year's Day but wasn't disgraced in a tough Cheltenham handicap behind Wodhooh last month and the step back up in trip will be in her favour.

14:45 Fakenham - Winner Pretending

Odds correct at time of publishing.

15:10 Thurles - Stuntman Steve @ 13/2

Behind The Yellow Clay in a bumper on his debut in March 2023, STUNTMAN STEVE came back from a lengthy absence to win on his first run for Gavin Cromwell on his hurdling debut at Clonmel over 2m in November.

In two starts since, he disappointed both times at 2m4f and 2m7f, but the drop back to 2m on his handicap debut here should be massively in his favour.

Conor Stone-Walsh takes a valuable 5lb off in the plate and he could be well ahead of a mark of 111 for an in-form stable.

15:10 Thurles - Winner Stuntman Steve

Odds correct at time of publishing.

15:45 Thurles - Ask d'Man @ 5/1

Northern Ireland-based handler David Christie has mopped up the closing 3m1f hunters chase for the last three years running, and ASK D'MAN is the most likely candidate of his pair here.

A nine-time winner between point-to-points and hunters, he was last seen finishing third behind stablemate Big Interest at Down Royal on Boxing Day, with the talented Its On The Line just ahead of him in second.

Stablemate and the reopposing Ramillies was just behind him on the day but Barry O'Neill has opted to ride Ask d'Man which could be a tip in itself.

15:45 Thurles - Winner Ask D'man

Odds correct at time of publishing.
