Lucky 15 generic

There's plenty of racing across Britain and Ireland on Sunday, with four meetings mixing jumps and Flat action taking place.

They go on the level at Goodwood and Naas, while National Hunt fare is from Ffos Las and Cork as the jumps season begins to emerge from hibernation. Our Lucky15 picks for Sunday's action come from across the four cards.

Lucky 15 Tips - Sunday, October 13

  • 14:50 Naas – Sakti @ 4/1
  • 15:10 Cork – Mexican Moonshine @ 11/2
  • 15:20 Ffos Las – Moveit Like Minnie @ 7/2
  • 17:20 Goodwood – Windcrack @ 7/2

14:50 Naas – Sakti @ 4/1

There's a double helping of Listed action from Ireland, starting with the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Garnet Stakes for fillies and mares over a mile, with a field of 16 engaged for the €30,000 top prize.

Ger Lyons and Colin Keane will rely on SAKTI, a daughter of speedster Caravaggio. She showed promise as a juvenile, twice finishing second in Group-race company in her three starts and she won a Dundalk Polytrack maiden in March on her return to action.

She was then second in this grade at Killarney over a mile in July after a four-month break, while both runs since have come over further in Group 3/Listed company.

Dropping back in trip here looks a positive for the filly and she has more to give at this distance.

15:10 Cork – Mexican Moonshine @ 11/2

A three-mile novice contest over hurdles on the card at Cork in which Willie Mullins saddles Luckinthecity and Femme Magnifique, while Connor King's Oscars Brother is another sound contender, but Gordon Elliott may trump the trio with MEXICAN MOONSHINE.

The mare was second behind a useful looking rival on debut at Ballinrobe over 2m2f in maiden company last month and wasted no time in going a spot better at Roscommon (2m4½f, yielding to soft) soon after.

She goes up in trip once more for this move into novice company and can improve again with Jack Kennedy doing the steering for the first time.

15:20 Ffos Las – Moveit Like Minnie @ 7/2

Nigel Twiston-Davies is adept at having his string in good tune as this stage of the season arrives, with the jumpers now beginning to emerge from their summer holidays.

The Naunton handler entered the weekend with a 32 per-cent strike-rate from his last 25 runners.

He teams up here with son Sam Twiston-Davies as MOVEIT LIKE MINNIE seeks to land the Norton's Coin Trophy Novices' Limited Handicap Chase over 2m at Ffos Las.

He carries top-weight of 11st 10lb but a mark of 124 looks well within range after he made a winning start over fences at Stratford (2m1f, good) in September. That experience will stand to him now and this looks a good spot for him.

17:20 Goodwood – Windcrack @ 7/2

Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy are typically a potent force at Goodwood – where they are leading trainer and jockey respectively across the last five seasons.

They combine in the finale on Sunday's card with in-form filly WINDCRACK. The Cracksman filly notched a pair of successes at Sandown over a mile in late August and mid-September.

The first of those came easily on only her second handicap start and she knuckled down impressively last time when faced with a challenge late on. She's only 3lb higher now and Murphy can steer her to another success.
