Saturday Lucky 15 Tips: North Yorkshire raider can score

Limbering-up nicely for Cheltenham, with this Lucky 15  suggestion. Excellent fare is on offer but it's to Dunstall Park Wolverhampton I'm travelling, for Saturday's L15.

Cracking eight-race card, with plenty of the season's leading sand exponents in attendance. Will Buick, Rossa Ryan, Hollie Doyle, Billy Loughnane, Hayley Turner - we're spoiled rotten frankly, so right, without further ado, here we go.

Markets can of course fluctuate between now and post time, but at the prices below, if all four selections won, we'd be looking at a payout of around £186 for a .50p win Lucky 15 (total stake £7.50).

Here's the rationale;

16:25 Wolverhampton - Lafan @ 4/1

Competitive-looking 9.5f contest, and a six-year-old Dandy Man gelding who ran really well at Chelmsford last time over 7f, finishing with effect to be beaten by just 1.25l.

Lafan has won over course-and-distance and lines up today on a mark of 68. He's won off 65 previously and on the third run for his new trainer can hopefully oblige from the four box. Liam Keniry is doing the steering.

17:00 Wolverhampton - Bosh @ 4/1

Sean Levey rides for his boss Richard Hannon in this very decent Class 3 handicap sprint.

He's run well here previously and was rated as high as 97 in May '22. Races off 90 today, and scored from 2lb lower over this distance at Chelmsford in January.

Bosh has the ten box to overcome but there looks to be some longshots in this who will do well to get involved, plus his run style is usually to be fairly prominent. These tough old warriors win in their turn and he's in good spirits right now. Every chance.

17:35 Wolverhampton - Quiet Resolve @ 5/4

Ace trainer Richard Fahey sends two to Wolves on Saturday, and Quiet Resolve looks the one that can pay for the diesel from North Yorkshire.

The three-year-old Showcasing colt goes handicapping off a mark of just 78, and in three career runs to date has shown progressive form at around this 7f trip.

Displayed bags of resolve to win at Newcastle over three weeks ago and might be well-treated. We'll soon find out. Oisin Orr rides.

18:10 Wolverhampton - Arctic Dawn @ 6/5

Jack Mitchell is on board, for the Kublers. Arctic Dawn is a three-year-old colt with two career spins behind him, both at Kempton. Steady progress so far, and he steps up an extra furlong today which, on the evidence of his last run, looks a sound move.

He's had nearly three weeks to freshen up, and the stable had a winner at Southwell the other day. Only beaten half-a-length last time and can take this en route to potentially better things.
