Lucky 15 Tips: Saturday’s suggestions includes 15/2 hope at HQ

It's truly an action-packed Saturday of racing ahead across Britain and Ireland with no fewer than eight meetings scheduled, boasting 57 races in total.

My Lucky 15 tips for Saturday includes selections from four of those meetings, including a promising stayer in the hands of a red-hot rider at Goodwood.

15:00 York – Audience @ 8/13

AUDIENCE caused a real stir when winning the Lockinge at Newbury in May and perhaps some felt it was fortuitous when John & Thady Gosden's charge was only fifth in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot the following month.

Such notions were quelled with a convincing success in the Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last month, with today's rivals Art Power and Kinross no match in second and third.

They are both 5lb worse off now and the Clarehaven inmate should prove hard to topple at York.

15:55 Newmarket – Funny Story @ 15/2

Listed action from Newmarket comes via the Hopeful Stakes. Roger Varian's Sakheer has a major doubt hanging over him given his efforts since a hugely promising 2YO season, while Twilight Calls is consistent but has gone more than two years without a win.

FUNNY STORY was a winner in this grade at this course last season for Ralph Beckett and has made the frame in all three runs at this level this term. The filly may have been found a nice opening given the doubts about some of the market principles.

16:25 Goodwood – Kitty Foyle @ 13/2

Daisy Hitchins hasn't had the filly KITTY FOYLE for too long and she has run well in both starts for this yard at Newbury. Most recently, she finished close-up third in a 2m event there last month, doing well in the circumstances as she conceded plenty weight to a pair of promising three-year-olds in Warmonger and Road To Wembley.

That pair have both won their next starts since and, from an unchanged mark of 68 and with bang in-form claimer Joe Leavy taking 5lb off in the saddle here, it should come as no shock should this daughter of Teofilo score on what is just her fourth career start on turf.

19:15 Windsor - Arkhalia Flynn @ 9/4

The Jack Channon-trained ARKHALIA FLYNN is on the upgrade recently, winning at Haydock in July over 7f on good ground despite plenty going wrong, and then making it two wins in three starts with his Ffos Las success earlier this month.

That was a first attempt at this mile trip and the Ulysses gelding saw it out strongly without George Bass having to throw everything at him. He is 5lb higher here but is fancied to make it 3-4 since going handicapping, with the forecast rain only serving to heighten confidence.
