Lucky 15 Tips: Absolutely fabulous if Buzzing can score

Typically stellar action on Saturday, with Cheltenham's ongoing November meeting the undoubted highlight.

For our Lucky 15 tips on November 16 we're heading to a cracking Tapeta all-weather meet at Newcastle. I've looked at the first two races already as they're covered in our ITV piece, so let's put the rest of the card under our microscope. Racing there starts at 15:15 and there are nine heats to savour.

17:18 - Laurens Dream @ 2/1

If in doubt - here's a hardy representative of clan Easterby, the Mick and David branch.

Laurens Dream took a 7f nursery here 5 days ago by a whisker, and drops down to 6f on Saturday. The two-year-old Advertise filly out of a Diesis mare is quietly progressive, and must defy a 6lb penalty.

It remains to be seen what the drop in trip will bring - she's tried 5f a couple of times at the very outset of her career with no success - but she's operating on an entirely different level now, and her Group 1-winning sire was lethal at this distance.

17:48 - Jewel Maker @ 1/1

Well; it's Tim's turn now, Easterby that is. The trainer who as a boy used to lead up my favourite racehorse of all time, Sea Pigeon. The lucky, lucky fella.

Jewel Maker is at the other end of the experience spectrum. 'Laurens' has had six lifetime starts. Nine-year-old 'Jewel' lines up for contest number 84.

The Invincible Spirit gelding is still winning and running competitively, as evidenced by a success here nine days ago at the trip. He must defy a 5lb hike, but the old boy had a bit up his sleeve the last day and who's to say he can't follow-up?

A great credit to his trainer and connections.

18:18 - Absolutely Buzzing @ 4/1

Sean Levey is a great booking for this Michael Wigham-trained, three-year-old Gleneagles filly.

He's ridden her once previously, down the field at Newmarket in a hot novice. She began life with Joseph O'Brien, before joining Michael in the summer. She's won already for new connections, a little race at Chelmsford at 50/1, and run there subsequently once again after a break, with great credit.

Absolutely Buzzing is a modest handicapper who knows where the winning post is situated, and a wee bit of additional improvement (this is only career start number seven) is by no means out of the question.

Shrewd yard, nice chance.

19:18 - Beale Street @ 9/2

The lucky last, and a three-year-old sprint gelding by Zoffany.

Hambleton's Bryan Smart trains, and David Nolan is in the plate. Beale Street ran here 18 days ago over 7f, and looked to fade in the last 100 yards or so. He steps back to 6f today for only the second time, and it looks well worth a try as this mainly consistent maiden looks for career win number one.

Bit of a mixed bag of trips and surfaces so far, and the horse is due a welcome change of luck - fingers crossed.
