Lucky 15 Tips: Well-bred newcomer could be smart

Just a thought ... my last Lucky 15 included the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, and the victor in the 24-runner Martin Pipe. Right - back down to planet earth! Lots of great racing on Saturday, post-Cheltenham, but I'm going to pop to Dunstall Park Wolverhampton for a nice contrast - some all-weather evening flat action on the Tapeta. Seven races, a 17:30 start, and the likes of Billy Loughnane, Dave Probert and Hollie Doyle are on the premises.
Hope you all had a great Festival, and the fact that, incredibly, it's March 15 already tells me that Donny, Aintree, Newmarket, York et al are all tantalisingly just around the corner. Can't wait.
Lucky 15 Tips - Saturday, March 15
Wolverhampton
18:30 - Come On John @ 2/1
In-form Hector Crouch (32% strike-rate in the last 14 days) bids to score once again on this six-year-old Kodiac gelding after going in over course-and-distance 12 days ago.
James Owen trains at HQ (bit of a contrast to having a runner in Friday's Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham), and Come On John looks to defy a 4lb rise for that latest success.
While in such consistent nick there's every chance of further joy, and his jockey could barely be in finer fettle. This is a notch above, a Class 5, but the opposition doesn't look too scary.
19:00 - Kinswoman @ 11/8
Simple equation at work here - several are unraced, and of those that have run, there are no obvious world-beaters though Vinatera has two solid placed efforts to her name.
Therefore the very nicely-bred Kinswoman is the selection, a daughter of Mehmas out of an Oasis Dream mare, running in the colours of the Cheveley Park Stud.
William Haggas trains, and Cieren Fallon is in the plate. She's certainly sprint-bred, and this introduction over 6f and a couple of bends could be just the job. Sure to be an informative heat, going forward.
19:30 - Banana @ 9/1
A classified stakes race now, again at 6f. We're treated ok, no better no worse, by the race conditions and of far greater import is that Banana was denied by the shortest-possible margin 3 days ago and she comes back to the scene of the crime to (hopefully) put things right.
The six-year-old Aclaim mare is still searching for that elusive career win number one, but up just a pound for the last day, her chances in this absolute bargain basement must be bright.
Harrison Shaw, who knows her well, takes the mount. Expect a blanket finish of heads, necks and nostrils.
20:00 - Take The Boat @ 3/1
Another modest little heat in all candour, but any owner pocketing one of these will feel almost as chuffed as if it were achieved in Gloucestershire earlier this week.
Take The Boat is chasing a pretty quick-fire hat-trick for trainer Rob Donovan. Rob Hornby, on board for both of those Kempton successes, is doing the steering. The filly has a 3lb lift to overcome and tackles a new trip in excess of what's been tried before - 1m 1.5f.
Sire Belardo was a miler, while there's some 10f influence on the maternal side, so it should be feasible - in theory! Could be a big night for Rob - he looks to have a decent chance in the lucky last too on National Health, for Olly Murphy.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £350 for your total £7.50 stake.
