Lucky 15 Tips: Green can sense victory at Naas

We have an unusually busy Monday on our hands this week, with six meetings taking place across Britain and Ireland. Cork’s eight-race National Hunt card gets us underway before further afternoon action at Naas, Lingfield and Ripon, while the evening’s entertainment is provided by Windsor and Carlisle.
My Lucky 15 Tips for Monday, August 4, include a Joseph O’Brien runner in the big race at Naas.
Lucky 15 Tips - Monday, August 4
13:53 Lingfield - Niyla Breeze @ 9/4
Richard Hughes runs the once-raced NIYLA BREEZE, and the 42,000 guineas purchase is a half-sister to a 1m2f winner in France. Her dam won over this trip and placed in Listed company, which bodes well for the three-year-old’s chances.
It was a decent enough effort when third on debut over 7f at Wolverhampton and, while she had little chance of winning, stuck to her task well. Outpaced at a key stage, she kept on well without providing a major threat to the two horses ahead of her.
The step up to a mile should suit on that evidence, and she’s entitled to improve for the run. This filly might be one for handicaps further down the line, but if she can progress, then winning a weak maiden such as this shouldn’t be beyond her.
16:46 Naas - Green Sense @ 7/2
Joseph O’Brien has had plenty of winners over the last couple of weeks, and his runner GREEN SENSE was a very impressive winner on debut at the Curragh, although the form isn’t much to shout about.
She improved to finish a narrow second to Ger Lyon’s Glorious Goodwood winner Lady Iman in a Group 3 over course and distance, which is excellent form. The daughter of Starman then failed to fire in the Albany at Royal Ascot, but that can be forgiven.
Returning to winning ways at Chantilly when last seen, that Group 2 success makes her the one to beat here, and she’s easily the highest-rated runner in the field.
18:20 Windsor - Westend Music @ 5/4
Another one for Richard, WESTEND MUSIC is yet to win in three starts, but she appears to be the one to beat here. A head away from getting off the mark over a shorter trip last time out, a similar performance could well be enough this time around.
Hughes’ two-year-old showed plenty when fifth of 10 on debut at Pontefract and she was only beaten by two lengths, despite finishing outside of the places.
Her next run here was probably a little underwhelming with that in mind, but she rectified that last time out.
Westend Music was a short head away from scoring at Catterick over the minimum trip, and returning to 6f should help. Handicaps could be the making of her, but she looks well up to winning this.
18:35 Carlisle - Rawalpindi Express @ 11/4
Tom Dascombe is 0-11 in the last fortnight, but handicap debutant RAWALPINDI EXPRESS could be the one to rectify that situation. The son of Lucky Vega has shown very small signs of improvement with each run, and the switch to handicaps is likely to suit.
An opening mark of 65 looks very workable, and the way in which he kept on at the one pace last time out suggests a mile could also facilitate progress.
He’s related to plenty of winners and should be capable of getting off the mark now tackling handicaps.
