It's a much-reduced start to the week for racing fans, with just a couple of UK jumps meetings taking place on Monday.

Afternoon fare comes from Kempton and Ludlow and I have put together my Lucky 15 Tips from across those cards.

Lucky 15 Tips - Monday, November 25

  • 12:45 Ludlow - Meetmebythesea @ 1/1
  • 13:00 Kempton - Thistle Be The One @ 11/4
  • 14:15 Ludlow - El Vigaro @ 13/8
  • 14:35 Kempton - Kateira @ 3/10

12:45 Ludlow - Meetmebythesea @ 1/1

Ludlow's opener is the Hazlin's 50th Anniversary Year Maiden Hurdle and Ben Pauling could have a likely sort in MEETMEBYTHESEA in the JP McManus silks.

The gelding was second in an Irish point-to-point in March, clear of the remainder after giving the winner a race, and is set for his Rules bow with the yard amongst the winners.

Kielan Woods rides and can overcome the challenge of Anthony Honeyball's useful bumper horse, Oakley's Way, en route to scooping this prize.

13:00 Kempton - Thistle Be The One @ 11/4

The Keiran Burke team have a likely-looking hurdles newcomer in the form of THISTLE BE THE ONE in the EBF Stallions 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle that is Kempton's second race on Monday afternoon.

The Arctic Cosmos gelding made every yard to win a bumper on debut at this course in February, defying odds of 40/1 and clear signs of inexperience late on as he won with something to spare under Gavin Sheehan.

The third, Olly Murphy's Woodland Park, has won a bumper and a maiden hurdle in three starts since.

Meanwhile, Thistle Be The One went to Ayr for a decent bumper at the Scottish National meeting in April and was second under a winners' penalty behind a Gordon Elliott inmate, proving that his success here was no fluke.

He looks like one that may be worth following now he has been sent jumping.

14:15 Ludlow - El Vigaro @ 13/8

Trainer Matt Sheppard won the Flowfit Handicap Hurdle at Ludlow with Little Pi last season and the Home Farm Cottage handler has leading claims again now with EL VIGARO.

The five-year-old has shown improved form this season and duly opened his account at Uttoxeter (2m, good) recently.

He was always handily placed in that contest and held off his two main rivals in the market quite comfortably late on, running strongly through the line. With that win behind him, he can progress and a 5lb rise looks manageable with ground conditions to suit again.

14:35 Kempton - Kateira @ 3/10

Dan and Harry Skelton should get on the scoresheet in Kempton's feature race, the Listed Racing TV Mares' Hurdle, with KATEIRA.

She was sent off favourite for a Grade 2 at Wetherby's Charlie Hall meeting at the start of the month and looked to be coming with a very strong challenge when a mistake at the second last robbed her momentum and she had to settle for third.

This is a drop in class and on ratings she should have nothing to fear from these four rivals.
