Lucky 15 Tips: Four selections that can go all the way on Monday

There’s a little bit for everyone on Monday, with three National Hunt fixtures and a couple of intriguing all-weather meetings in the evening.
They race at Leicester, Plumpton and Exeter in the afternoon, whilst meetings from Southwell and Wolverhampton provide the evening action. We’ve picked out four of our best selections across the day, which could be worth considering for our Lucky 15 tips for Monday.
Lucky 15 Tips - Monday, November 18
13:40 Leicester – Jakar Du Moulin @ 10/3
Nominated as a dark horse for this season by his trainer, JAKAR DU MOULIN cost £175,000 at the sales and makes his rules debut in a maiden hurdle here.
This son of Kapgarde won his sole start in an Irish point at Belharbour in February and he showed plenty of stamina when making all the running over three miles.
He appears to have been ready to run for a while but ground conditions have led to connections holding fire. There’s a rare bit of soft in the going description on the hurdles course at Leicester and a big performance is anticipated here.
13:50 Plumpton – Inca De Layfayette @ 4/1
Another one for Paul Nicholls, six-year-old INCA DE LAFAYETTE makes his first start over fences at Plumpton.
Fifth on his first start of the season at Cheltenham last month, the extended two-mile trip is probably shorter than ideal and the step back up in trip should be a big help here.
He was a good winner over 2m3f at Taunton in January and the extra half a furlong is unlikely to be a negative. This son of Gris De Gris won three of his 10 starts over hurdles and his form has been much more consistent since having wind surgery in the summer of 2023.
Harry Cobden takes the ride here and his strike-rate of 29 percent in the last fortnight certainly catches the eye and Paul Nicholls’ stable jockey will give the horse a good education on chase debut.
15:40 Leicester – Dominic’s Fault @ 5/2
Trainer Olly Murphy has been in fine form of late, with a strike-rate of 33 percent in the last fortnight. A total of 13 winners over that period is certainly eye-catching and his runner DOMINIC’S FAULT could add to that tally here.
Sean Bowen is on board the 111-rated seven-year-old, who is thoroughly unexposed in handicap company. He won the second of his four hurdles starts over course and distance in January, where he narrowly came out on top.
A little disappointing under a penalty next time, he bounced right back to form with a narrow second on handicap debut at Carlisle last month. A better jump at the last would have resulted in victory and he can go one better this time around.
This is an Extra Place Race, with Betfred offering 4 places instead of 3 at 1/5 the odds for all each-way bets.
16:15 Southwell – Reddeef @ 9/2
REDDEEF showed some promise when finishing third at Carlisle in August and that form looks fairly solid, with the winner placing in Listed company next time.
The step up to 7f clearly suited at Kempton on handicap debut last time out and he was only beaten by half-a-length back in second. A 3lb rise is perhaps a little harsh but it’s fair to assume he’s going the right way and further improvement could be on the agenda.
It surely won’t be long before the son of Blue Point starts winning races at this sort of level and all but one of his half-siblings managed to win at least once. This looks like a pretty competitive race for the grade but Charlie Fellowes’ juvenile is unlikely to be far away.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.25p each-way Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £135 for your total £7.50 stake.
