Lucky 15 Tips: I’m predicting a good night for in-form Danny

We're having winners again this week which as always is most gratifying. Tremendous uncertainty regarding the weather has led us to concentrate on the sand, but I'm a big fan and see it as a mighty fine vehicle to try and find a few to run well for us. Jockey bookings are key and many trainers really do excel on the artificial surfaces.

So - it's off to Newcastle we go for Friday's Lucky 15 tips, and an eight-race extravaganza on the Tapeta. A quick look at the jocks reveals names like Loughnane, De Sousa, Tudhope - stellar talents. Let's get stuck in.

16:25 - Unique Spirit @ 13/8

This one did us a good turn at the start of the month and I can see a follow-up on the horizon.

Danny Tudhope is in the plate for David O'Meara, and both are in prime form of late (23% strike-rate for DT in the last 14 days). Unique Spirit is up just 2lb for that win here in a similar contest but this is actually a class below (six, as opposed to five).

The three-year-old gelding by Arc winner Waldgeist has found some admirable form and consistency, and for me can go in again.

18:00 - Tundra Rose @ 1/1

Danny once again, this time on a two-year-old Tamayuz filly with one run under her belt.

That was in a Glorious Goodwood maiden 78 days ago, and she ran a blinder to be a close third to an Aidan O'Brien inmate. I guess she's had some issues since but if straight Tundra Rose looks the one they've all got to beat.

The winner at Goodwood has since taken a Group 3 at the Curragh before finding the G1 Fillies' Mile a little too taxing, so there's plenty of cause for optimism.

19:00 - Manhattan Mirage @ 1/1

It's that man Silvestre De Sousa and a three-year-old, Amo Racing, Inns Of Court gelding.

Manhattan Mirage is trained by Raphael E Freire in Lambourn, and after a break of some 124 days ran very well at Yarmouth in a 6f novice 11 days ago.

The horse has a mark of 83 which indicates a good bit of ability and can surely be extremely competitive in this maiden. Love the booking of De Sousa - screams 'we mean business' to me.

20:00 - Triple Force @ 4/1

A trappy closer, but we're with an admirably consistent type trained in North Yorkshire by Craig Lidster.

Triple Force runs off 59, up 2lb for finishing third here 15 days ago. The three-year-old gelding has yet to win a race after 10 career starts but he was backed into favouritism last time and was slowly away before finishing well.

It's not hard at all to envisage a huge run, and here's hoping Oisin McSweeney can time it beautifully at Gosforth Park on Friday.
