A busy Thursday awaits on the racing front, with six meetings across Britain and Ireland - including one from Lingfield Park, where they race from 13:50-17:00 on the Polytrack.

Among our Lingfield Park tips is David O'Meara's Star Of Lady M, who has Daniel Tudhope in the plate.

Lingfield Park Tips

  • 13:50 - Masterclass @ 10/1
  • 15:50 - Star Of Lady M @ 7/2
  • 17:00 - Road To Wembley @ 11/10

13:50 - Masterclass @ 10/1

The Lingfield opener is a 6f sprint and recent course-and-distance winner Epic Express is bound to prove popular. He was too strong for nine rivals on his first start since November and won nicely almost two weeks ago.

However, he is up to a career-high mark of 76 now and will need to improve again to win this in all probability.

The alternative is MASTERLCASS for trainer David Simcock. The five-year-old Lethal Force gelding was sporting first-time blinkers when he finished clear in second over 5f at Southwell 15 days ago.

Course specialist Jeans Mate poached an early lead in that race and the market leader was never really in any danger, though Masterclass made the best of his way home having been sat last at halfway, putting more than two-lengths between himself and the rest. He's got a solid chance here if replicating that effort.

15:50 - Star Of Lady M @ 7/2

The consistent filly STAR OF LADY M should make her presence felt in this 5f sprint for David O'Meara and Daniel Tudhope.

The daughter of Havana Grey had a very busy and consistent 2023, appearing 18 times but only managing one win despite lots of promising efforts.

That win came here over 6f in November off a reduced mark of 68 and she won again over course and distance in February from 7lb higher.

Things didn't go her way next time at Wolverhampton but she's been second since at Newcastle over 5f, getting to the lead in the final furlong only to be pipped on the line by Jim Goldie's Bonito Cavaloa, who was making it five wins in just six starts on the all-weather.

Star Of Lady M is 2lb higher again now but has winning turf form from higher marks than this. She should go well back here.

17:00 - Road To Wembley @ 11/10

Chiefman won over this trip at Newcastle ten days ago for Hollie Doyle and Archie Watson, and he will be expected to follow up.

The gelded son of Cracksman improved on his juvenile form and could have more to offer over middle distances but, for all that, those around him in the betting for the Gosforth Park contest surely failed to fire. He's respected but should get more of a test from recent Wolverhampton winner ROAD TO WEMBLEY now.

Richard Hughes' Postponed gelding had to be very determined to get the better of Cock And Bull over 1m4f last time. The eventual second hampered him as they approached the final bend, stealing a few lengths as he did, but Finley Marsh's partner really picked up in the home straight and got there close home.

There should be more to come and if this is run at an honest pace he may well give the forecast market leader plenty to worry about in receipt of 8lb.
