With six British and Irish meetings taking place across Thursday there's lots of racing action to cater for all tastes.

Leopardstown races in the evening, with seven races from 17:10-20:30 on ground forecast to be good to firm, firm in places.

We've picked out a trio to follow at the Irish venue, including Ger Lyons' Wendla in the feature. Below you can find our Leopardstown Tips.

Leopardstown Tips - Thursday, July 11

  • Leopardstown 17:40 – Her Ladyship @ SP
  • Leopardstown 18:15 – Wendla @ SP
  • Leopardstown 19:25 – Exquisite Acclaim @ SP

Leopardstown 17:40 – Her Ladyship @ SP

Seventh behind the classy A Lilac Rolla on her debut at Cork last summer, the Andrew McNamara runner HER LADYSHIP returned from a lengthy absence to win a Sligo maiden over just shy of 6f in May and rates as a good bet for this 7f handicap.

The filly hit the line hard on that occasion and Sligo isn't an easy place to come from behind, but she toughed it out well, beating an odds-on runner from the Joseph O'Brien yard on the day under Colin Keane.

Her Ladyship wasn't as good next time when fourth in a 6f median auction at Fairyhouse, but she should be seen to much better effect now tackling handicaps for the first time off a mark of 84 and stepping up in trip.

Once her chance was gone the last day Chris Hayes took it easy on her and a bigger field here might suit her running style.

Leopardstown 18:15 – Wendla @ SP

The feature race of the night is the Group 3 Brownstown Stakes over 7f, and with Ryan Moore on duty at Newmarket it's a big opportunity for jockey Gavin Ryan to make his mark aboard Ballydoyle's Everlasting.

However, the Ger Lyons yard is in great form so the narrow vote goes to WENDLA, who won the Group 3 Mutamakina Stakes at this track over a mile on her penultimate start, seeing off Buttons who went on to finish fourth in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

On her debut Wendla was only a length behind subsequent Epsom Oaks winner Ezeliya and she had valid excuses for a poor performance at the Curragh last time as it was her first crack at 1m2f and she didn't seem to stay at all.

Leopardstown 19:25 – Exquisite Acclaim @ SP

A good, competitive field of 16 are set to go to post for the 1m1f handicap and Ado McGuinness' EXQUISITE ACCLAIM is taken to get revenge on the reopposing Timourid, who beat him comfortably over track and trip last time out.

The selection went off fairly hard from the front and set it up for a patiently ridden closer like the eventual winner, but he has a 4lb pull in the weights with that runner now for a three-length beating if you factor in Adam Caffrey's claim in the saddle.

Obviously, Exquisite Acclaim might find it difficult to get his own way in front in this line-up and he's yet to win on turf, but he handles a sound surface and is starting to become well treated.
