Kempton Park is back for its regular Wednesday evening slot and there is a seven-race card to look forward to from the Sunbury venue.

There is a good Class 4 handicap at 20:00 on what is sure to be another competitive night of all-weather action.

Kempton Park Tips

  • 19:30 – Vinaka @ 11/1
  • 20:00 – Lion Kingdom @ 4/1
  • 20:30 – Maxi Boy @ 8/1

19:30 – Vinaka @ 11/1

Vinaka caused a 40-1 shock when scoring at Epsom 34 days ago and the three-year-old can show that victory was no fluke by taking the fillies handicap run over one mile at 18:00.

Ali Stronge’s charge did bag the favoured stands’ rail at Epsom last time out, but she is an unexposed three-year-old and her previous run at Kempton can be forgiven.

Vinaka was trapped wide when disappointing at the Sunbury venue prior to scoring at Epsom and that poor effort is easily excused. The three-year-old got the better of Optiva Star, who has since gone on to rattle in a hat-trick of wins, when opening her account and that looks strong form.

20:00 – Lion Kingdom @ 4/1

Lion Kingdom looks a horse full of potential when winning a novice race at Wolverhampton last year and James Fanshawe’s charge looks a good option in the three-year-old handicap at 20:00.

The son of Roaring Lion disappointed at Newbury last time, but that came at a trip that stretched the three-year-old and a drop back to a mile-and-a-quarter looks a wise move.

Lion Kingdom gets the cheekpieces on first the first time this evening and that could spark the three-year-old into life.

20:30 – Maxi Boy @ 8/1

Maxi Boy ran well when finishing second at Chelmsford last time out and Michael Bell’s change looks a good bet in race six, a seven-furlong handicap.

The son of Oasis Dream was hassled on the front end last time out and was only picked up late in the day by the in-form Aljari, suggesting that run can be upgraded.

Maxi Boy hasn’t scored since his debut success, but he now looks well treated and this looks like a winnable opportunity.
