Kempton Park Tips: Aim High on Wednesday

One of Wednesday's six meetings scheduled is an evening on the Polytrack at Kempton, with seven races scheduled between 18:00-21:00.
I've come up with a few Kempton Park tips for your consideration, including including a filly looking to enhance her solid course record.
Kempton Park Tips - Wednesday, September 4
18:00 - Aiming High @ 9/2
The mare AIMING HIGH showed a liking for Kempton when she made her one and only start at this venue in June, coming clear to win a 1m4f Class 5 handicap in good style off a mark of 72.
She is 0-3 since on turf but a return to this synthetic surface could be ideal now after contesting some valuable contests in better company since that win here.
Most recently, she ran over 1m1f on Lingfield's turf track and things didn't pan out ideally. She was held up in a slow-run race and never looked like getting into it as they got racing off the final bend, finishing no better than fourth.
She is rated 1lb lower now back on the all-weather and a return to this longer trip must be viewed as a positive for the David Simcock-trained daughter of Lope De Vega.
She had two next-time-out winners behind when scoring here in June and if she is in a similar mood now, this 4lb higher mark may not prevent her making it 2-2 at Kempton.
This is an Extra Place Race, meaning that Betfred are paying 3 Places instead of 2 at 1/5 Odds.

19:30 - Sheikh Raj @ 9/4
A novice contest over 7f in which newcomers Byblos and Arth's Gold merit plenty of respect. The former is a Frankel colt for John & Thady Gosden in the Juddmonte silks, and a half-brother to the smart performer Siskin, while the latter is a 100,000 gns Havana Gold colt for Richard Hannon.
The betting vibes will reveal plenty about their chances but SHEIKH RAJ is one with experience that looks set to test them here.
Tom Clover's Pinatubo colt took home a silver medal from his racecourse bow over track and trip last month.
He had to come wide to challenge off the home bend and took some time to pick up, but ran on strongly to finish second behind all-the-way winner Yaroogh from the William Haggas team, who was aimed at a York Group 3 on his next start.
Sheikh Raj should come on considerably for that debut run and while some of these newcomers are potentially useful, they'll need to hit the ground running to beat his experience.

20:30 - Historic City @ 11/8
After hitting the crossbar in handicaps at Wolverhampton and Chelmsford, the Saeed bin Suroor-trained HISTORIC CITY readily landed a Hamilton maiden (1m1f, soft) last month.
The Godolphin-owned gelding made all and was well suited by the stiff finish at the Scottish venue as he came home five-lengths clear in first-time cheekpieces.
This mark of 79 could be within his wheelhouse now with his confidence boosted and the headgear retained as Oisin Murphy takes over in the saddle for what will be the longest trip he has faced.
