Kelso Tips: Wave to weave their Magic

There are six race meetings to look forward to across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday, including a six-race jumps card from Kelso.
They are due to go to post at the Scottish Borders track between 14:25-17:05 and our tips include one that was a scorer at this venue just last month for trainer Mark Walford.
Kelso Tips - Wednesday, May 7

14:25 - Edgewell @ 13/8
The opening race on the card, a 3m 2f Handicap Hurdle, could provide Edgewell with the perfect opportunity to return to winning ways.
Rebecca Menzies' gelding did not finish outside the top two in his opening four runs of the year, claiming wins at Southwell and Fakenham in the process, but was last seen struggling for form in a series final at Musselburgh in March.
However, this drop in grade should provide the seven-year-old with the platform to bounce back and he will likely have too much for rivals such as the Susan Corbett-trained Wee Alki.

15:25 - Show No Fear @ 2/1
Another one from the Menzies' yard that could enjoy a successful day is Show No Fear, who is fresh from scoring at Carlisle last month and may follow up off just a 4lb higher mark.
The five-year-old son of Churchill also has a victory at Newcastle to his name this year and he should prove too strong for likely nearest challenger Benefit Ben, who may have to make do with the minor places again after finishing as a runner up on two of his previous three starts for trainer Adam Nicol.

16:00 - Magic Wave @ 11/2
Magic Wave was a scorer at this track just last month in a contest that, on paper at least, looks to be stronger than this, so trainer Mark Walford will be hoping they can follow up.
Jamie Hamilton will once again be in the saddle and the slightly extended trip is not expected to be a concern.
Kilmore Rock, who is going in search of a hat-trick of wins after following up a victory at Newcastle at the end of March with a narrow success at Carlisle when last seen, could be Magic Wave's main challenger, but preference is for The Magic Circle-owned gelding to come through.

16:35 - Milajess @ 15/8
The Micky Hammond-trained Milajess has been in fine form this year, not finishing outside the top two in any of her five starts in 2025, the highlight being her victory over this 2m trip at Sedgefield at the start of April.
The eight-year-old followed that success with a second-place showing at Fakenham and she remains off the same mark now, increasing her chances of putting on another strong showing.
Bellbird and Winds Of Winter could also go well, but none of these rivals have shown the same kind of consistency as Milajess, who may be set for a return to the winners' circle on Wednesday.
