Huntingdon scaled

Huntingdon stages a six-race card on Tuesday afternoon and the action is highlighted by a class 4 handicap at 15:37.

Davidoc has his first run for in-form trainer Jamie Snowdon in the feature race and Henry Hardwicke believes the seven-year-old could be ready to strike.

15:07 - On The Go @ 4/1

On The Go ran a good race following a 202-day break at Plumpton last time out and the unexposed five-year-old can take down the handicap hurdle at 15:07.

Charlie Longsdon’s charge showed plenty of promise on handicap debut at Newcastle in May, staying on to finish a decent fourth at the north east track.

On The Go went one better to finish third at Plumpton last time, and the five-year-old should now benefit from that run, both in terms of experience and fitness.

A mark of 91 looks pretty kind for Longsdon’s hope, who faces a number of exposed or out-of-form performers at Huntingdon in this contest.

15:37 - Davidoc @ 3/1

Davidoc can take the feature handicap chase at 15:37 on debut for in-form trainer Jamie Snowdon. The seven-year-old makes the switch from Ben Pauling to Snowdon and the move couldn’t come at a better time.

The Lambourn handler has sent out five of his last seven runners to win, and the two horses that didn’t get their head in front, finished second.

Davidoc goes to post off a mark of 104 here, having once been rated 110, and Snowdon’s charge has finished as runner-up in three of his last four starts.

The seven-year-old looked the winner at Worcester recently, before fading close to home and the drop in trip, addition of a hood and stable switch all look positive moves.

Davidoc also lost a shoe at Worcester in his most recent run and better is expected at Huntingdon this afternoon.

16:37 - The Wise Traveller @ 11/2

The Wise Traveller can make the journey to Huntington a winning one in the handicap hurdle at 16:37.

Sarah Humphrey’s charge made all to score at Plumpton, where the nine-year-old stayed on well to boss his rivals.

The success at Plumpton took the nine-year-old’s form figures over 3m1f to 21212151 and The Wise Traveller is a useful performer over staying distances.

Jamie Gambin, who has ridden the gelding to his two most recent successes, continues to take 10 pounds off The Wise Traveller and he can repeat last month’s Plumpton success.
