Horse Racing Tips: Bountiful should have plenty at Lingfield

We have a quiet Wednesday on our hands this week with just three meetings taking place across Britain and no Irish representation.
Lingfield’s all-weather card, which features a Listed contest, is the first to get underway before a Jumps fixture at Catterick and Kempton provides the evening entertainment.
Amongst our strongest fancies on Wednesday is a George Boughey runner in the feature race at Lingfield who showed significant promise as a juvenile, and there could be more to come over longer trips this year.

15:42 Lingfield Park - Bountiful @ 2/1
George Boughey runs the filly BOUNTIFUL here and the daughter of Zoustar showed significant promise as a juvenile last year. She looked in need of the run when fifth on debut at Newmarket but has gone from strength to strength since, progressing with every run.
That bodes well for her three-year-old campaign and she shaped as if the step-up in trip would suit when she finished fourth in the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket last time out.
It's hard to knock the form of that race, as Mountain Breeze was second that day and she has bolted up in two starts at Meydan this year after filling the runner-up spot behind Lake Victoria in a 7f Group 3. Aidan O'Brien's Heavens Gate also boosted the form by winning a Group race at the Curragh subsequently.
Keeping on well despite not having the pace to mount a serious challenge, the extra furlong here should suit on that evidence and her profile suggests there could be more to come at three. Boughey's filly also gets a handy allowance and she could be one to watch.

15:55 Catterick Bridge - Edgewell @ 5/4
Rebecca Menzies' EDGEWELL won well over fences at Downpatrick in the Autumn and clearly the step up to just shy of three miles was a big help to him. He struggled off an 11lb higher mark at Kelso next time but has thrived since switching back to hurdles recently.
The son of Well Chosen only just failed to hold off Jongleur d'Etoiles over course and distance on New Year's Day and the front two were well clear of the rest. Perhaps he would have won if not for hanging left under pressure up the run-in.
Edgewell got his revenge at Southwell next time, however, and he wasn't for catching, and patient tactics paid dividends. Racing wide throughout, he hit the front going easily before the second-last and was always in command from that point on.
More success was on the cards at Fakenham last time out and this progressive sort shouldn't be too inconvenienced by a 6lb higher mark on that evidence.

20:30 Kempton Park - Victory Shout @ 9/2
VICTORY SHOUT struggled behind East India Dock in a Grade 2 Triumph Hurdle trial at Cheltenham on his sole start over hurdles but bounced back to form with a good second in a Class 2 event at Southwell recently.
The winner is clearly a progressive sort and Victory Shout was a little unfortunate to bump into him. This race looks a little easier and one would imagine a similar effort should be enough to put him in the mix once again.
It's noted that the handicapper has put him up 1lb since, but he's lightly raced enough to suggest there could be more to come and Hollie Doyle is on board once again.
