We have five meetings to look forward to across Britain on Tuesday, while some Cheltenham Festival clues should be on offer at Fairyhouse.

First off is Lingfield, before they go at Fairyhouse, Warwick, Chelmsford and Newcastle.

Amongst our Tuesday fancies is one for trainer David Loughnane who only found one too good on his recent start at Wolverhampton and remains well treated.

Tuesday Racing Tips

  • 11:53 Fairyhouse - Inothewayurthinkin @ 10/3
  • 16:05 Newcastle - Don't Look Back @ 11/1
  • 16:40 Newcastle - Professor Tickle @ 15/2

11:53 Fairyhouse - Inothewayurthinkin @ 10/3

The opening Beginners’ Chase should be extremely informative and is a race of serious quality, with Paul Nolan’s Sandor Clegane likely to be strong in the market.

It is interesting however, that leading owner JP McManus is running four in this and jockey bookings would suggest Inothewayurthinkin is his best chance.

The son of Walk In The Park thrived in testing conditions early last season, winning twice over hurdles in the mud in the month of November.

He got the better of the reopposing Imagine when the pair met over hurdles at Gowran Park last season, and although he ran poorly at Grade 1 level when last seen, he didn’t have his ground.

Trainer Gavin Cromwell is in brilliant form at present, and this could be another chaser to get excited about in the coming weeks and months.

16:05 Newcastle - Don't Look Back @ 11/1

In true Newcastle style all eight races on Tuesday evening are ferociously competitive, but we are confident two runners can give a good run for the money.

The first of those is Don't Look Back, who runs in the opening 1m2f handicap for trainer Lucinda Russell, with 7lb claimer Brandon Wilkie taking the ride.

A son of Oasis Dream, he was in consistent form en route to Ayr last time, where he put in a below-par display, doing too much on the front end in the early part of the race on heavy ground.

Don’t Look Back folded tamely in the closing stages, but he is weighted to go very close back on the all-weather.

Despite finishing eighth of 12 runners over course and distance in September, he was only beaten two lengths in a bunched finish.

He is effectively running off 8lb lower now if you take the weights and jockey’s claims into account.

16:40 Newcastle - Professor Tickle @ 15/2

David Loughnane's gelding Professor Tickle has been knocking the door down in his last three starts and can gain his second career win by landing this Nursery Handicap over 6f at Newcastle in the hands of Laura Pearson.

The son of Profitable finished second on his most recent start at Wolverhampton over 7f last month, taking the race by the scruff of the neck early, but was unable to see off the attentions of impressive winner Rukaana in the closing stages.

That was his first try at 7f and on that evidence the drop back to 6f is the right move. It’s a very stiff 6f at Newcastle, but if he can get out fast and grab the near-side rail, he might prove hard to pass.
