Tuesday Racing Tips: Glynn can win at Fakenham

Jumps racing gets a chance in the spotlight on Tuesday, before major trials for the Betfred Derby kick in on Wednesday. First off is Fakenham, followed by Ffos Las and a Flat card at Cork. Worcester and Wolverhampton feature in the evening.
Amongst our Tuesday fancies is an avowed summer horse who has never run at Fakenham but should have a ball.
Horse Racing Tips - Tuesday, May 6
16:15 Fakenham - Glynn @ 2/1
There are some familiar names in the veterans' handicap chase at Fakenham, most notably Le Milos. His big win came at galloping Newbury, which is very different to this Norfolk venue where runners spend much of their time on the turn.
Whizzing around summer tracks on good ground is what GLYNN loves best and he can be the one to win on Tuesday.
His successes last autumn came at Newton Abbot and Stratford on good and good to firm ground. That has a lot in common with these conditions.
On his return to action in a warm race at Haydock 17 days ago, Glynn was a highly creditable third in a valuable contest. With that run behind him, he can do better still and this relatively lightly-raced 11-year-old has more wins in him this summer.

16:50 Fakenham - My Gift To You @ 13/2
The Norfolk National is an interesting race. Horses that want this sort of extreme distance (3m5f) generally are not the types that enjoy sharp tracks like Fakenham.
In MY GIFT TO YOU, a risk needs to be taken on staying the trip. But we know he is good at this track – he was a course winner in 2023 – and should be among the last off the bridle.
Often at Fakenham, that can be more important than excess stamina and the slow coaches are usually left toiling early on the final circuit.
My Gift To You is proven over 3m2f, so is hardly a short runner, and a recent spin over hurdles at Southwell should have at least got him fit for this. He can leave his slower rivals trailing.

18:18 Worcester - Gold Link @ 13/2
Worcester is known for having among the easiest fences in the country. It is often used by connections who know their horse is not a great jumper, to try and give them a chance to win when the penalties for errors are small.
GOLD LINK is that type of horse and he sometimes leaves his race in the birch.
This will be his first run since February, and he has been given both wind surgery and a visor. One of those might give the impression of rolling the dice. Having both, and running him at Worcester, suggests a plan being put into action.
Gold Link had a successful summer campaign in 2023 and, for one reason or another, did not get the chance to repeat it last year. He starts this season on an attractive mark as a result, and his run at Market Rasen in January showed the fire still burns.
