Horse Racing Tips: Conquest can power home at Newcastle

There are three cards in Britain on Tuesday and fans of both codes are well catered for, with afternoon action over the jumps at Market Rasen and Taunton with Newcastle taking us through the evening.
Our expert has concentrated on the evening all-weather action at Gosforth Park for the day’s best bets.
Horse Racing Tips -Tuesday, February 4
16:30 Newcastle - Scotland The Brave @ 8/1
There is plenty of early pace on show in the 2m handicap that opens Newcastle’s all-weather meeting and there could be a burn up despite the small field.
Dream A Dozen, Midnight Lion and Zivaniya are all regular front-runners, and perhaps Scotland The Brave will have this race run to suit from off the speed.
Scotland The Brave needs to step forward from his previous efforts in novice company, but is an unexposed handicap debutant sitting on a potentially decent mark, and he was noted making good late headway into third in a strongly run 1m4f handicap here last month.
His dam was placed in a Group 3 over 1m6f, so this extra four furlongs looks an interesting move, while his trainer, Tristan Davidson, saddled a 33/1 winner with one of his six handicap debutants to make the track over the past year.

17:00 Newcastle - Conquest Of Power @ 5/1
Conquest Of Power has come down to an enticing mark and merits close inspection in the following 6f handicap at Newcastle.
The son of Cityscape was in excellent form last spring, stringing together two comfortable all-weather handicap victories off marks of 66 and 61.
He has fallen to a mark of 50 despite running creditably a couple of times recently, and he is too well treated to ignore with good 3lb claimer Jack Doughty aboard.
Conquest Of Power ran on nicely for sixth in a higher grade here in December behind three subsequent winners and his close-up eighth at Wolverhampton last time is worth upgrading as he met in-running trouble up the far rail. The stiffer 6f at Newcastle should suit this multiple 7f winner better.

17:30 Newcastle - Harlem Nights @ 11/2
Tasever is likely to be a warm order in the 7f handicap after going close over course and distance a few days ago, but preference is for the Jessica Macey-trained Harlem Nights.
On a couple of Harlem Nights' previous starts he has given the impression a stiff 7f is worth a look and he gets that opportunity here.
He was quite strong in the market when third over an extended mile at Wolverhampton at the end of last month, but didn’t see out the test as well as a couple of others, and he should have more left at the finish this time around.
Given that was Harlem Nights’ first start in three months, there is also every chance he can build on that run and strip fitter now. His sole all-weather victory came over 7f and he is dangerously treated, having started life for this team off 12lb higher in August.
