Horse Racing Tips: Make it Mudamer for Beverley success

There are five meetings scheduled to take place across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. They race at Beverley and Salisbury in the afternoon, before three evening meetings are from Gowran Park, Ffos Las and Kempton.
We have three Wednesday fancies to follow including a solid five-year-old gelding in the extended 7f handicap at Beverley.
Horse Racing Tips - Wednesday, August 14
16:15 Beverley - Mudamer @ 4/1
MUDAMER makes significant appeal in the seven-runner Class 4 extended 7f handicap at Beverley, representing the local Thirkleby trainer Geoffrey Harker.
Harker has a 67% Run-To-Form figure in the past 14 days, and he is 12-127 (9% +£21.21) with his older runners on this course.
Sam James is continuing in the saddle. He is 1-4 on board the gelded son of Dark Angel and 22-217 (10% +£15.83) overall when riding Harker's older horses.
The selection is dropping in class and slightly in trip after finishing five lengths last of 10 from a poor draw over 1m at Thirsk this month.
His Racing Post and Topspeed ratings for that Thirsk effort actually took a step back in the right direction and he may now be ready to exploit this 3lb lower rating under his optimum conditions.
The five-year-old is now rated 1lb lower than when winning this race last year and his midfield running style may prove to be an asset in a relatively small-field contest.
16:50 Beverley - Glistening Nights @ 6/1
A chance is taken on the three-year-old GLISTENING NIGHTS bouncing back to his best in the nine-runner Class 5 1m2f handicap at Beverley, representing Richard Fahey.
Fahey is 66-495 (13%) with his runners aged three at Beverley and Oisin Orr is a notable 3-8 (38% +£6.25) when riding that age-group on this course this year.
Orr was in the saddle when the selection kept on well to win over this trip on good ground at Wetherby in June. The gelded son of Night Of Thunder followed that up with a cosy success on quicker ground at Doncaster and a reproduction of that level of form would be particularly competitive from a 2lb higher rating of 69.
A fair draw in stall four and his prominent racing style after the other significant positives regarding his claims in the hope that a 20-day break is long enough to have rekindled some sparkle since a couple of lesser efforts in July.
17:20 Beverley - Taygar @ 7/2
The final suggestion is TAYGAR in the Class 5 5f three-year-old handicap at Beverley, representing Michael Dods.
Dods went close through Atomise and Pol Roger at Ayr on Monday and the selection showed improved form when winning comfortably over this 5f trip at Ayr on good ground in July.
The daughter of Churchill produced an RPR of 73 and a Topspeed figure of 67 with that success and those calculations suggest a 6lb higher mark of 68 is exploitable on this follow-up attempt, as she returns to the scene of her course-and-distance debut success in April 2023.
