Horse Racing Tips: Love is a True bet on Thursday

Jumps racing holds sway across Britain on Thursday with four meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening. First off is Market Rasen before they go to Leicester, Wincanton and Chelmsford.

Amongst my horse racing tips for Thursday is one for Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero who are in flying form of late and can land the opening contest at Market Rasen.

12:15 Market Rasen - Love True @ 3/1

Training duo Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero have an exciting season ahead and have a couple of very classy horses to go to war with sporting the JP McManus colours in Iroko and Jagwar this season.

However, we have to contend with a slightly lesser class of race here in the opening extended 2m conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle and it seems to be a good chance for LOVE TRUE to get off the mark over timber.

A three-time winner at up to 1m5f on the Flat in France, the daughter of Ectot probably found good ground not to her liking when an average fourth of eight runners at Sedgefield on her return.

It was also her first run off the back of an absence, so there's every chance she would have needed it. With the cobwebs blown away, she should step forward now and the ground will be in her favour by the look of it.

12:45 Market Rasen - Narragansett @ 11/2

Moving onto the following extended 2m juvenile hurdle at Market Rasen, where a chance is taken on NARRAGANSETT to put his best foot forward on his hurdling debut for trainer Neil Mulholland.

The three-year-old has some decent form on the Flat in Ireland when trained by Andy Slattery, notably when winning a 1m2f contest at the Curragh on his handicap debut in September from a mark of 66.

He never travelled on bottomless ground at Nottingham on first start for his new yard, but he was always going to be of more interest once sent hurdling and this is a nice little introduction for him.

Obviously there are risks attached. We haven't seen him jump a hurdle in public but, if he is decent in that department, then there's no reason why he can't make his presence felt.

13:25 Leicester - Carismatic Soldier @ 6/4

Purchased for €47,000 from the Tatts Ireland Derby Sale in the summer of 2022, CARISMATIC SOLDIER is an interesting runner on his hurdling bow for trainer Olly Murphy in the extended 1m7f novices' hurdle.

The five-year-old finished second in a Huntingdon bumper on his debut in March, finding Ma Shantou too strong on the day. That winner bolted up in a novices' hurdle at Warwick last month to give the form a nice boost.

Murphy's yard is red-hot at present and if he's fit, he could take some stopping in this contest.
