Thursday Racing Tips: Ede’iffs Rock overdue a win

Flat racing dominates across Britain on Thursday with three meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening.
Our daily selections all come from the sole Jumps card at Hereford - including one for trainer Bill Turner who's been very consistent and now has the opportunity to finally get into the winner's enclosure.

12:58 Hereford - Ede'iffs Rock @ 11/1
Although we have a pair of all-weather cards on the go, the main focus will be at Hereford over jumps on Thursday, and the opening 2m3½f novices' handicap hurdle for conditional jockeys can go the way of Ede'Iffs Rock.
Bill Turner's mare often travels extremely well through her races but has a tendency to hang under pressure, and that's the only reason why she hasn't found her way to the winner's circle yet.
Ede'iffs Rock has some decent form in the book, including when second to the classy Queens Gamble in a Warwick maiden hurdle over two-miles last May. That winner bolted up in a Listed hurdle at Taunton during the festive period and is now rated 128.
Placed in each of her first three handicap starts, the selection should appreciate the slight drop in trip after her fine Wincanton third in December, and she will probably look a winner two from home the way she travels. She is worth chancing in this Betfred Extra Place Race (four places).
13:58 Hereford - Lightening Mahler @ 15/8
Moving on to the 2m5½f mares' maiden hurdle where form backers will undoubtedly fancy Noel Williams' Melusine De Pail, who chased home a smart Dan Skelton horse in Coco Mademoiselle at Lingfield in November.
However, the mare might have another Skelton runner to worry about here in the shape of Lightening Mahler, who fetched £72,000 after comfortably winning her sole point at Dromahane for Benny Walsh last April.
She was very impressive on the day, while the second, third and fourth all went on to win a point subsequently. Now having her first start for a yard that does well with newcomers, she has to be of serious interest.
14:58 Hereford - Shot Boii @ 6/1
Finally, we try to crack the puzzle in the competitive 3m1f handicap chase where the vote goes to David Pipe's Shot Boii, who could be lurking off a dangerous mark.
The seven-year-old won his first three starts over hurdles last season, and he came back from a seven-month absence to catch the eye in fourth on chasing debut at Lingfield in November after having a wind operation.
Shot Boii failed to back that effort up when sixth at the same venue when last seen in December, but the handicapper has dropped him a further 3lb to a mark of 100. If he could recapture the form of his penultimate start off 5lb higher, he is a big player.
