Horse Racing Tips: Air has too much Speed for rivals at Carlisle

Flat racing holds sway in Britain and Ireland on Thursday with six meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening. First off is Chelmsford before the action starts at Carlisle, Ffos Las, Navan, Newbury and Southwell.
Among Thursday's racing tips is one for trainer Karl Burke at Carlisle who found only a progressive stablemate too good when last seen at Haydock and should get back to winning ways under Danny Tudhope.

14:48 Carlisle - Airspeed @ 7/4
The 6f novice at Carlisle could look a hot contest in time with improvement to be expected from Charlie Fellowes' son of Blue Point, Reddeef, who is bred to be quite smart.
Nonetheless, at the moment it might pay to side with the more experienced Karl Burke-trained AIRSPEED, who has the strongest bits of form in the book.
Third behind subsequent Windsor Castle winner Ain't Nobody on his debut here over 5f in May, the selection was behind the progressive Mr Lightside next time at Redcar before getting off the mark in a 5f Hamilton maiden last month.
Airspeed found only stablemate Qaseem too good on his handicap debut at Haydock on his first crack at 6f last time, when nabbed on the line, and he has big claims here.
15:18 Carlisle - Knicks @ 16/1
It would be no surprise to see money come for KNICKS in the 6f handicap with a bit of ease in the ground forecast. Mick and David Easterby's gelding was pulled out at Chester and Beverley in recent weeks due to the ground but has his conditions today.
He ran better than his finishing position would suggest when last at Chester on his latest outing, setting off at a frenetic pace that he couldn't sustain once they turned into the straight.
Knicks has form at Carlisle, having finished third over course and distance last September, and should prove hard to reel in if he's allowed a soft lead under Shane Gray.

15:55 Ffos Las - Consuelo @ 11/4
CONSUELO bumped into a smart horse in the Sir Mark Prescott-trained Rouge Sellier when sent off favourite for a 1m3f Kempton novice last time, but she never travelled on the day and finished 15 lengths behind the winner in third.
It was a below-par performance from the selection, who needed plenty of reminders throughout the race, but there's every chance this return to turf will bring out the best in her as she also disappointed on the all-weather at Lingfield on her debut.
Consuelo's best run by far came on her sole turf start at Haydock over 1m2f in June when a staying-on third behind Sir Michael Stoute's Power Of Destiny. The runner-up has won since and the winner is a decent type, so a repeat would make her hard to beat in this company.
