Horse Racing Tips: Elliott runner primed for handicap debut victory

There is a good mix of racing across Britain and Ireland on Thursday with six meetings taking place in the afternoon and into the evening.
First off is Lingfield Park before the action starts at Warwick, Thurles, Wincanton, Wolverhampton and Southwell. Let's hope the incoming cold snap doesn't affect any of the meetings. Among our horse racing tips is one for trainer Gordon Elliott who was a big eyecatcher in a maiden hurdle on his latest start and could be primed for victory on his handicap debut at Thurles.
Horse Racing Tips - Thursday, November 21
14:40 Thurles - Boston Rover @ SP
The lightly raced BOSTON ROVER rates as a bet in the 2m4f handicap hurdle at Thurles, where he takes on more exposed rivals on his handicap debut for trainer Gordon Elliott.
The five-year-old has been well beaten in three outings over hurdles to date, but he showed much more promise when a never-nearer fourth of 16 behind classy stablemate Romeo Coolio over 2m1f at Down Royal last time.
This is the first time Jack Kennedy will get the leg up on Boston Rover, which could be a tip in itself, and the step back up in trip is likely to suit. A mark of 105 could underestimate him.

15:14 Thurles - Buttoned Up @ SP
Likely to be a decent price, Peter Fahey's BUTTONED UP could be worth an each-way bet in the 2m handicap hurdle.
She has shown only glimmers of promise over hurdles but offered a bit more when sixth in a Wexford maiden hurdle in testing conditions last month.
This is a weak handicap, with many of the runners bang out of form, and the lightly raced selection at least has time on her side. Further improvement should be forthcoming for her shrewd trainer.
